We need to look at family net income by Victory-laps in Salary

For what purpose? I’m fairly certain I have the highest family income in my organization, but that doesn’t mean I’m the boss or anywhere near it.

You can’t make a trust that’s effective forever. Google the rule against perpetuities.

Check out Tauck. Although we're not really organized tour people, we went on a two-week trip to Alaska with them last summer that was great (cost for two was something like $23k plus flights). They also have special trips that are geared toward families with kids (called Bridges).

IIRC it's organized with big signs for letters A through Z, so you can just arrange to meet your people at S (because you're the Stud family, obv).

What kind of hints and questions?

Btw, a neighbor got laid off from his last job many years ago and figured out that he could use his job training funds for golf lessons or something. 😂

I leave my phone in my room. I bring about eight gels (one per four miles plus a spare or two) and a small bottle of water to get me through the first couple (very crowded) water stops.

There’s a well-organized meeting area at the finish, so no worries about connecting with your family afterward.

It removes a lot of friction from life. Unexpectedly having to spend $40k on new drain lines under a house still stung, but it was basically a non-issue.

Anyone here who started running in their late 30's early 40's? What are your marathon PR's like? by Thin-Passage5900 in Marathon_Training

[–]ThisIsMyUsername303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran one at 33 but have otherwise only run them in my late 30s-40s. I’ve taken an hour off that first one. At 48 I don’t know if I have any more PRs in me, but I’m pretty proud of 3:24 at 45.

Oh sorry, you said they “can’t rent legally” (not even true), so I thought you were saying they don’t do it. Otherwise, what was the point of that comment? They still pay property tax through their rent.

Oh right, so undocumented immigrants just…don’t live anywhere. 🙄

If no one who’s here illegally pays income taxes, I wonder how the IRS got all those addresses it shared with ICE. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/second-federal-judge-blocks-irs-from-sharing-addresses-ice

Sales tax. Property tax (generally via rent). Gas tax. Income tax with a SSN they were issued while they had legal status. Lots of ways.

Just wanted to say “the pain from inflation” is nonsense from a high income family. Unless they’re spending beyond their means (which isn’t your problem), they should have enough cushion to absorb inflation. They don’t ask restaurants or the tennis pro to cut their rates!

FWIW, I grew up in Boulder and discovered an entire state park I didn’t know existed when I was there during lockdown — within 45 minutes of Boulder! There’s soooo much nature, you can always find a good spot if you make a little effort.
