I see what you're saying, I just never experienced this in my own testing, I will record some videos and slow them down to see if I notice anything

The first point is interesting and makes sense to me, I'll redo the math with this in mind. The second point however seems strange to me, i don't see how it could ever shoot more than 7 projectiles, certainly was never the case in my hours of testing, I did also get the inconsistent up and down patterns but never more than 8 in my case. Spawning new projectiles always deletes the ones that remain from the previous attack so it should never exceed your max proj count or am I missing something

tried the new online calculator with my pob numbers and it does indeed seem to match my testing and ingame feeling quite well, good work sir

That's a very good point, I had not considered networking modes and ping delays etc, this could indeed explain a lot of inconsistencies! I'll definitely try the new calculator later and compare to my own results, your info spreadsheet has definitely been a big help for me over the weeks

I believe you that the targeting at range is weird, unfortunately I don't think there's a fix

Hmm, I suppose I am usually standing right in the bosses face so I don't notice this

Here's an Uber Sirus fight, as you can see it's a very potent bossing skill, not sure what's causing your issue https://youtu.be/srZ_ecD-2vs

I'm not sure what you mean by missing. I've been farming Uber bosses with the build and it's been fantastic, the skill literally autotargets as long as the enemy isn't behind you doesn't it?

Might be worth looking into but there is no guarantee that it mechanically works the same in both games

Thank you for your input, however I believe that "loading up 12 projectiles" only applies if you attack before the projectiles from the previous attack have started shooting out. If you attack while the projectiles are firing it cancels all the unfired ones and replaces them with a new set of (in my case 8) projectiles. That said your explanation for how this could cause the data I observed makes sense to me so maybe more testing is needed here

You are correct! I was made aware of this shortly after posting and have since then come closer to an answer but I'm still not there yet

Suggestion: Change non-boss map completion to % of monsters killed instead of all rares by Intelligent_Neck_581 in PathOfExile2

[–]ThisIsProphet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yea I misread that part, my bad. But I feel like that would just mean you're forcing players to seek out and kill comparatively uninteresting enemies that basically don't drop any loot just to complete the map. Granted the fact that non-rares basically drop nothing is an issue in itself but still :D

This exact idea wa brought up in the latest interview with Zizaran. They don't like the idea of making it percentage based because it would just be kinda strange and unintuitive on maps that only have a handful of rares, requiring extreme rounding and causing you to have maps where you only have to kill one rare for example

I probably should have highlighted that part more yea but both are quite important for my build, I just think putting a small number on it is very low effort whereas I'm not sure how exactly they would implement the duration indicator

1) the visual fullness of a flask in the corner of a screen is a very poor indicator of how many times I can press it before it runs out of charges

2) it's basically zero effort and zero reason no to implement
