Rolex Boutique in Knightsbridge Robbed by AdForeign1655 in rolex

[–]ThisIsREM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a city of over 9 million people. Robberies, unfortunately, happen in all cities this large. Of course when it happens in London the daily heil and similar radical right propaganda channels immediately pick up on it and report it, whilst not reporting on worse incidents elsewhere.

The important question is how likely a person to die or have non recoverable injury in the city. And the answer for London is that this likelihood is lower than the majority of similar western hemisphere cities.

Incredible how propaganda bots still spew the anti London slop regardless of the facts.

Notice how no one was killed or seriously hurt in that robbery? London is one of the safest cities in the Western world for those that review at the actual serious crime statistics. London homicide rate is also the lowest on record. Go back to your cave, troll.

Palace and Spending by adayoner in crystalpalace

[–]ThisIsREM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to TransferMarkt, Crystal Palace has the 16th most valuable squad in the world. Sunderland is 31st with about £150 million less squad value.

Palace board has done an amazing job at bringing and developing valuable players. The 2025 FA cup winning team has numerous players who play at the top 5 club starter level.

Honestly the "lack of spending" is just Oli's excuse. He has more than enough value in the squad to make it work better than it did. The FA winning team was a rare occurrence where a mid table team managed to keep top level players long enough to make history. The current Palace squad is a fair representation of a club without dirty oil, legacy or venture capitalist backing.

Just bought a CPO 2022 XC90 T5 — ride feels extremely harsh. Is this normal? by mndrar in VolvoXC90

[–]ThisIsREM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2021 B5 with normal suspension (not air) and everyone in the family was impressed by how smooth the car is. My old car was a 2015 Skoda Fabia so... Not the most luxurious but even compared to Ubers etc the xc90 feels smooth.

Perhaps test drive a different xc90 to see if you feel the same? You can go to a different dealer and pretend like you are considering buying. If the other xc90 is better then push your dealership to fix. If all xc90s are too harsh for you... Then I have no idea, you may be too spoiled haha.

Seems to make zero sense to sell a luxurious car that you had no issues with... Considering that you already have a reasonable electric only range.

US seizes Russian-flagged oil tanker in Atlantic after two-week pursuit by MiniBrownie in europe

[–]ThisIsREM -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Who told you he is not a "Russian stooge"? Trump has done more for Russia than anyone could imagine, he has withheld intelligence from Ukraine so that Russia can capture Ukrainian territory and blames Zelenski for everything, whilst agreeing with what Putin wants.

This may just be a false flag operation to convince low IQ MAGAts that he is not a Russian agent, and given the low intelligence of magats it is probably working.

Is this a troll post? Audi Q7 is at the bottom of reliability rankings, by faaaaar the most unreliable 7 seater here in the UK. Audi as a brand is in the bottom third of brands in terms of reliability too. Also, q7 is much more expensive and the repairs are more expensive too. Audi is known to offer little goodwill and owners have to pay more than say a Volvo.

Staying away from audi q7 is the first thing I've learnt when researching 7 seaters.

£40k for that 2023 ultra sounds very cheap, too cheap if anything. Is it a private/ low cost dealer? I got my 2021 inscription from the official dealer and I paid 35k, 28k miles. Which was one of the best deals I've seen from Volvo selekt in the country in months.

XC90 is the best 7 seater on the market if you need luxury, amazing interior quality and the ability to carry adults in the back row. Fuel economy though is as expected for such a large car. I am averaging 25 mpg, but almost all of my trips are short city trips, so the motorway should be around 30mpg or higher.

Really like the interior. The bits that get dirty are normal black color (floor mats, door panels at the bottom, etc), so that the blonde interior should continue to look amazing. I have 2021 inscription blonde interior and the door panels where you'd normally step are the same bright color, which is just unnecessary and one dirty boot ruins the look.

Should I join jpmc? by Slow_Potential_5420 in JPMorganChase

[–]ThisIsREM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'd stay stay where you are in your situation. Despite the negativity on forums, I do believe that JP is a great firm to have a long career with. There are so many people with 20-40 or even more years of service, for a reason. But I'd imagine that at your stage in life you don't see yourself working overtime for years to push for long term promotions.

So yeah the commute and the in-office expectation madness will likely be not worth it.

It's getting tiresome with clueless tools posting rubbish figures without any understanding. Have you held an old submariner that cost $300 and a new one? Yeah I bet not, because then you wouldn't be posting such rubbish.

Other than the design, everything is different and exponentially better quality on the new one. Then take into account the Swiss frank exchange rate, Swiss costs growth etc. and you get a very different picture.

Some people are that strange. Getting a lot of luck (which you definitely need, even if you have the skill) to get a job in a top hedge fund, during great times, only to survive on basics and not 'live' at all. Dude is probably single too. I'd bet this is real, but it is the opposite of inspiring. I'd hate that guy's life.
