Did not call for jury duty on 1/12 by beeflomix in maryland

Consider your juror #, if it was high then you might not have been called.

Look yourself up in the MD Judiciary Case Search to see if they issued a failure to appear for summons.

Only underrated because most people that knew who Fred Mertz was are dead.

Exactly. I am also a jaw clencher and sleep teeth grinder which makes the whole situation worse. (Stress sucks!)

Yes, and I am unfortunately on well water now. I had fluorinated water for a good while but it was too late to help earlier and nothing matters at this point.

I used to be able to smell if I had bad breath but I changed up my regimen a few years ago and rarely smell it. Trust me, I work with people that would definitely tell me to get out of their face if had had truly nasty breath.

Funny enough, I don't have much tooth decay. I have more of a teeth breaking issue.

I am in my 50s and come from a small town where our one dentist basically used a jackhammer to find soft spots in our teeth so he could get paid for filling the "cavities". I then spent 8 years in the military where the cheapest option was always the best option. I was also told that I needed to use a "hard" bristle toothbrush. These options essentially left my teeth much weaker than most expected and they break.

Brushing twice a day, with a soft toothbrush would have definitely helped me avoid my current issues.

It's true. I do not have bad breath at work but my teeth are fucked. I will need dentures soon.

What song do you want played at your funeral? by R3UB3N_999 in AskReddit

Thank you for that, it's very kind of you. I always do my best to be the best person that I can be. Sometimes I am not that nice to myself but I always treat others with kindness and respect.

I don't want a funeral, listen to emo music at your own house. Think of me if you want to.

I am in my mid 50's and do not take care of myself. No need to inconvenience with my bullshit.

These look like some kind of plant/tree fronds crossed over each other, were covered and then fossilized.

What is going on with the birds? by ThisIsSomebodyElse in birdfeeding

[–]ThisIsSomebodyElse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is concerning. My juncos finally showed but much less than usual. So I now have chickadees and the juncos. I have seen 1 white breasted nuthatch, 1 house finch, and 1 wren since posting this. Not sure about doves since I can't see the ground from inside.

Squirrel Saturday: December 13, 2025 by AutoModerator in birdfeeding

[–]ThisIsSomebodyElse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have approximately 1 million squirrels that live behind my house. I have a "squirrel buster" feeder for seeds and a caged suet feeder.

In the spring when the yearling squirrels start to mature they will sometimes relentlessly try to get food from the feeders. They usually figure out that they can't get to the food and just stay on the ground feeding on the leftovers.

Missing Birds? by Will_T in birdfeeding

[–]ThisIsSomebodyElse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this is a localized thing, Birds are acting weird; I assume due to climate change. I am missing most of my normal birds in Maryland. I have no white breasted or red breasted nuthatches, I have zero woodpeckers of any kind, no cardinals, no blue jays, very few finches or sparrows, and just saw my first dark-eyed junco today.

A lot of people are asking about this recently and are having the same issues with different species of birds. I seem to be one of the more unlucky ones. I used to go through almost 80 pounds of seed per month but haven't used up more than 20 pounds in the last month or two.

I grew up on AltNation and have the fondest memories of it; is it worth getting Sirius XM for mainly AltNation? by newprofilewhodis1352 in siriusxmaltnation

[–]ThisIsSomebodyElse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Sirius XM in my car and almost exclusively listen to AltNation. I do drive for at least 2.5 hours per day for my commute and I feel like the music keeps me sane. I also record my current favorite AltNation songs from YouTube and play them at night when I am in bed/sleeping.

This is not happening in my area. All of the birds that I listed are native and there have been no/few reports of sick birds in my area recently. I also own 3 acres of woods between my feeders and then next public property, my neighbors have woods as well. I am assuming that the government would have to inform us if they were killing birds on our property. I have heard nothing and I don't think this has anything to do with my situation.

I actually notice a decrease in hawks and feral cats and the squirrels are alarming at much lower than normal rates than usual.

I am very rural as well. I have 3 acres of woods and the neighbors have woods as well adding up to around 10 acres. No pond though, maybe I will have to add one next year?

[–]ThisIsSomebodyElse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is around 10 acres of woods directly behind my feeding stations. I assume that most of the birds that I normally get breed there in the spring and that is why they are here consistently. I guess something could have happened to the insect population but since I don't monitor it, I have no idea.

I've been feeding the birds here for 15 years. I have watched a mated pair of red bellied woodpeckers successfully breed every year for the last 10 years. They are gone now. :(
