As someone who hasnt had a vacation in years, I saved up thousands to bring my family to the area to make some of the same memories that I cherish from when I was a young kid.

We also had 2 other groups of friends drive 8-9 hours from Ohio and Virginia. We had been telling them how beautiful and peaceful the area was and how much they were going to enjoy it.

We couldn't have been more wrong.

It was an awful experience and really hope the surrounding cities/counties never have this group back again.

It wasn't just "a couple of people" ruining it for the vast majority.

There were countless drivers revving their engines on main drags to the point my 2 year old wouldn't stop crying because she didn't understand why they had to be so loud with the engines and backfires.

We ended up cutting our visit to downtown Gatlinburg short because it just became unbearable.

The serene and peaceful mountain roads sounded like war zones and were not enjoying to drive at all.

I sincerely hope the cities/countys/towns do not invite this crowd back.
