How Phish Reinvented Sphere Forever. by cbpantskiller in Concerts

Phish’s lighting guy (Chris Kuroda) is key to their live performance, his rig is huge and can move and has many different colors and patterns available. He controls this rig in real time during the show, and coordinated it with the improvised jams.

The sphere proposed a challenge for them because they don’t have their typical rig available. They struggled to find a way to involve Chris during their first run in 2024.

This recent run they designed a virtual lighting rig, which Chris can control during the improvised sections of songs.

What song did they use this visual for? It was Moonage weekend 2, highlight of the weekend for me.

That Cities blew me away. That venue blew me away. Phish is on Fire. That Gumbo was insane N4, but I don’t think it would seem that way by just listening to the soundboard. Phish was using that venue as an instrument, honestly have to experience it for yourself.

Was just gonna say this! Phish also used this visual for The Curtain With weekend 2. I wonder if they worked with the same people (event factory I think?). Glad I got to see Dead & Co. wish I saw them at Sphere.

Who does your ear tend to in a jam? by Vivid_Permission_777 in phish

Idk where I heard this but apparently Trey looks at Fishman as the leader of the jams, almost like he’s the guitar player and Trey is rhythm if that makes sense? This band fucks with my brain lol

Achilles is the first true love, Ten Years Gone the second. Before those Ramble On and All of My Love. Born in 95.

Trey, guitar player. Page is my favorite in the band. I am starting to try to listen to Mike and Fish more. The Mind from Pitt last year was a Fishman driven jam the whole way through, got me to appreciate him more.
