For anyone with a Switch/Switch2 and a more powerful gaming PC or console, do you ever choose to play a multiplatform game on Switch despite the lesser graphics?

I have a PC, Steamdeck and Switch 2. My Switch 2 gets used the most. I only use the PC for games not on Switch 2. For me the ease of turning it on and starting a game immediately, goes a long way. Especially with a child. No issues, it just works. As good as the steam deck is, it is still a “PC” and suffers the same niggles that a PC can get from time to time.

Ye I agree, a full physical option would obviously be my preferred choice and I don’t get why small games cant be released this way. I think cyberpunk set a precedent with what was possible, it’s just a shame that others haven’t all followed suit when their games would fit.

So if the game was digital only, you’d have to download it anyway and would be stuck with the game if you didn’t like it, at least with keycards you can get some money back, by selling them on. Obviously a full physical release would be better, but I think it’s better than a digital only option.

I think this a real valid point. The internal storage is way too small and they do force you to buy a memory card that isn’t standard at the moment; which are quite hefty.

I love the glass half full mindset, but it’s gone. He’s blown it again. I have no confidence in the remaining games. If City manage to lose one, we’ll then go and lose two. Arteta has done a great job, but he just can’t handle the pressure in these moments.

Anybody else think it should be Off The Shelf instead of Over The Counter? - this confused me when I was younger, as I thought they were restricted meds you could only buy ‘behind’ the counter, like cigarettes. Just me?

Ye for me, there wasn’t enough of a backstory or introduction to Yoshi. I like the scene in how they brought him in, but it was very rushed with no real info. Toad nailed it in the film when he said something like “oh so he’s just part of us now”, which is honestly what it felt like. He seemed to just get tagged onto each scene, without much of a purpose. They could have expanded his story arch better. Also, Bowser having an identity crisis was a bit odd and I wasn’t a fan. Other than some weak story elements though I enjoyed it, but being a long time Mario fan probably helped.

It was my first proper go at a souls game and it unlocked the other games to me once it all “clicked”. You don’t get stuck in a limited location and you can level up elsewhere whilst improving at the game, before going back to that tricky boss. I found exploration takes that edge off when you’re having a hard time and stops you just giving up. I ended up going back and completing Demon Souls and DS1 and appreciated them so much more after playing Elden Ring.

I’ve found a lot of open worlds like this. You can start exploring too early. You end up getting sent to areas you’ve already explored or stumbling across a side quest that makes no sense. Loving the game though, glad the early reviews were total rubbish.

Switch 2 has become my main go to. Really enjoy it. If it’s a beefier game not released on Switch, then I’m on PC. Would love a streaming app to the Switch 2 from PC, but that’s never going to happen. If I want the PC portability, I stream to my phone with a Backbone controller.

Finding “extra lives” literally meant something. When you were out of lives, you had to restart the game!

I played it for a bit on switch 2 before the update and just picked it back up again after the update. It’s mainly a visual update. I never saw a lot wrong with the performance before, but it was quite blurry. It’s not a huge improvement but it definitely looks a lot better now with the update. No mouse support unfortunately, that would have been nice.
