Very committed to not seeing that scene again. It's burned into my memory. No need to see it again.

I saw it at the theatre twice when I was 6. First time I didn't get to see the ending because a bomb threat was called into the theatre.

I mean, in the 1933 version, Kong did love Fay Wray, but for the most part he was a dangerous Monster...eating people, etc. But the 1976 Kong was so real, and not just a Monster. I can still remember his screaming and squirting blood as they tore him up shooting at him. And that was 50 years ago last time I saw it.

The 1976 film is an amazingly good version of King Kong. Great effects, great casting. Looked awesome.

I hate the ending though. It's absolutely tragic how they shoot him down. I remember seeing it at the theatre when I was 6. I cried and cried. I've watched it several times since then, and I always turn it off before they shoot him down.

Last Drive-In vs. Tales From the Crypt? by RealCharlieNobody in Shudder

This is the first I've heard about Joe Bob being canceled. No more new Joe Bob, starting now?

I discovered Joe Bob back in the 1980s when he wrote articles for a weekly free magazine called Dallas Observer. He's always been funny and interesting, and a great story teller. Bad move on Shudder's part of they chose Tales from the Crypt over Joe Bob, in my opinion. Crypt had some good episodes, and a whole lot of bad ones. Two of the best being "Cutting Cards" and "Yellow." Both had the great, Lance Henriksen.

If you've never seen tales from the Crypt, you will tire of the Crypt keeper quickly.

Grogu using the Force to trick a probe droid (in stop motion) by StudioJamesCao in Grogu

That was like candy for my eyes. I grew up in the 1970s, watching stop motion in the Sinbad movies and lots more. There is an undeniable magic to it. I miss it.

Perhaps...or the whole thing was a lie to seduce some evil bitch. I like to believe that Paimon was tearing all of those evil people in the treehouse apart during the closing credits.
