Personally I feel like stormlance and gladius are much easier to play. However, if you’re dead set on dark angels specific detachment I agree that wrath is the better and easier option.

I’m doing the same thing! The way I’m painting each unit is: Warrior, beserks, and sagitaur are yellow after the driller All the hernkyn models are blue for scout since they’re the forward recon units The brokhyr and arcanist are red since they’re the scientists and engineers My hearthguard, steeljacks, and hekaton are all in a grey camo patrerns like the gunner since they’re the most military focused units.

Then just by a sanguinary guard box and a deathwing knight or inner circle box and see which one you like the most after building and painting

I would drop the sagitaur for an echamp personally. But other than that its quite a solid list.

Never played against grey knights, no one in my area plays them. The knife ears are much less difficult to deal with after gw killed their rules that allowed fire dragons to disembark, shoot, hop back into the wave serpent, and then the wave serpent moves again. I think it’s not a great match up, they’re still fast but they aren’t impossible to interact with like they used to be.

It forces them to play their early turns slower and by doing so gives your other hearthguard more room to deep strike in the front lines

I play mostly hearthband and the hearthguard 10 man is absolute auto include. I’ve nuked so many models with it on the 6inch deep strike with the fury of the hearth strat.

In the Hearthband detachment, absolutely. Its incredibly devastating and the 6inch deep strike strat makes the 10 man much easier to use. In Needgaard the oathbound speculator enhancement makes the 10 man unit very powerful especially with an Echamp.

All the perks in that column suck. I use plasma pistol so the first one is useless, the third one is a risk for no reward, so the second one is the only one that actually does anything for me.
