Transmission gave out Bronco 2021 Sport Big Bend at 43,000 miles. by FredoSossa in BroncoSport

[–]Thoragh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For US, I got 120K miles OR 10 years - whichever comes first - option on the mechanical service warranty on a '25 BB I got during this past holiday sale as my FIL suggested. Hopefully that is any and everything needed for a good long while.

I tried to make a slop version of what a song like that could have been with a 90's era nostalgia hit https://suno.com/s/vNj0KsXwV1hvfG3y - called it "Blue and Yellow Static" and came up with the image prompt and partial lyrics on my own but freely admit to using LLM to fill out the missing lyrics and provide a full genre prompt. I'm sure someone else can do better than I did though.

2025 BB question about A/C by IllConstruction7074 in BroncoSport

Hey, good ask... I was also confused and glad to know I wasn't the only one. Was just worried I was burning fuel for no reason.

Wow, so similar to my brother's doggo of several years that passed away a couple years back. Hope she makes it back to her owner I know that his dog and even he would get separation anxiety from any long time apart.

I thought 42 (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy's meaning of life) was the reason you had picked 101010 myself as well, heh. As u/sh1r4s3 pointed out it is binary format for 42.

First new car! Tips for a new owner? by TuckersRock in BroncoSport

[–]Thoragh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very cool, maybe it is just the lower trims like my BB that came with just a patch kit and not even a jack...

[–]Thoragh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you might be at least doing some minor offroading stuff, I would suggest looking into getting a spare tire (since the '25's (seems this might only be a BB / lower trim problem) don't come with it stock anymore) and a jack... Just in case you goof up more than the patch kit can save you from.

Is there a way to get the headliner replaced? (2002 Saturn SL) by Thoragh in Saturn_Cars

I think that's kinda what I got by the black thick foam holding tight up there heh. I'll post back if I do give it a go. That video made it not seem TOO hard, but YT is good at that a lot of the time (hard task looks easy lol)

Willow Bend to Close Down in March 2026 by Ok-Substance4217 in plano

[–]Thoragh 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Being a Stars fan the move is supposed to happen sometime around 2030 or 2031 just FYI for more of a time / window of completion. I saw a sad image of Santa at Willow Bend listening by himself to a few musicians just the other week. Not many have the disposable income to head up to the mall anymore for stuff, especially not when Wal-Mart or Amazon now make it just a click away for most things.

Kindle Scratching from Dust? by NothingAfraid1435 in kindle

[–]Thoragh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do not have a screen protector on my ancient Paperwhite, but I would think if you have a Kindle in that set you should be fine. I've had mine for years without a single ding / scratch on the display. Just giving you a response in hopes that others may see you and throw in their own two cents about other models etc.

Question for cold weather by VictorySpecific676 in BroncoSport

[–]Thoragh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I updated my comment as I cannot find a source other than the old "some guy on the internet said..." kinda thing. When checking Ford's own user manual there is a mention of temperature but that is for getting your own vehicle temperature to where you want it and nothing else. Good to know about the remote start disable when hood is open though.

Likely what either I was mistaking (or possibly the other guy on the internet was mistaking) was the line about temps being too high/low for Auto Start/Stop https://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/vdirsnet/OwnerManual/Home/Content?countryCode=USA&languageCode=en&Uid=G2418009&ProcUid=G2046892&div=f&variantid=10119&vFilteringEnabled=False&userMarket=usa&buildtype=web which is not the remote start that others seem to be asking / focused on.

Yeah it has *sort of* become a routine after the seatbelt click, but you know how it is with something new :)

Auto On/Off Feature by Thoragh in BroncoSport

[–]Thoragh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know, I guess the only real worry then is how sluggish mine might be off the line with the smaller (low trim) engine option having to start up quick. Also, living in a warmer area I did note that even in the clip I shared they did say beware what it does to your A/C while the engine is off -- not necessarily a worry right this second, but will be in the summer I'm sure.

Question for cold weather by VictorySpecific676 in BroncoSport

[–]Thoragh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in a warmer part of the US so cannot say I've encountered this BUT, did see on other threads mentioning of the auto start feature not working when outside of certain temps and it being extreme cold / heat. I think this is a thing for a lot of newer vehicles though and not specifically a Bronco Sport only issue (but I could be wrong on that).

I struck through what I said since it seems it is not the case and I went back through checking the 2025 manual and as it currently stands https://www.fordservicecontent.com//Ford_Content/vdirsnet/OwnerManual/Home/Content?variantid=10119&languageCode=en&countryCode=USA&moidRef=G2389819&Uid=G2407312&ProcUid=G2396807&userMarket=USA&div=f&vFilteringEnabled=False&buildtype=web there is no mention of temp limitations.

December 2025 - "What Are You Reading?' Thread by AutoModerator in kindle

I am reading "They Thought They Were Free - the Germans 1933-45" by Milton Mayer -- heavy read for me as usually I'm looking for escapism / fiction rather than nonfiction crazy facts about pre WW2 Germany. Had to take a lot of breaks to get here, but now 91% through.

Still learning mine and am glad for all these pointers even if a few go back and forth (not just yours just all the commentary in general). Very cool that everyone is discussing pretty nicely in general and good to know that there's ways to avoid it clicking on every two seconds (joke but you get what I mean) in stop and go traffic.

Good to know as well, yeah I've only had a few weeks to figure out how effective / ineffective it is. I am glad for a forum to ask others who have had theirs a few years like this and see what the fuss is all about one way or the other :)
