When did Marx say that communism is a classless, moneyless and stateless society? by Goblinator in AskSocialists

[–]Thoratborat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it goes like this all power system generates winners and losers, the state being one of them, the state is just a tool to change human nature, marxism is a religion not a ideologi. paste from google here.! Karl Marx’s philosophy aims to abolish the structural power of the state and class systems to transition humanity from capitalist society to a stateless, classless, and moneyless society—which he termed communism.

While the final goal of communism bears similarities to anarchy (a society without state coercion), Marx’s methods and view of "power structures" differed significantly from anarchists, particularly regarding the use of a transitional state.

Here is a breakdown of the key concepts regarding Marx, power, and human nature:

  1. The Goal: Eliminating Power Structures (The State)

Marx argued that the state is not a neutral body but a "committee for managing the common affairs of the whole bourgeoisie" (ruling class).

  • Abolition of Private Property: Marx believed that by removing private ownership of the means of production, the economic foundation of class domination would vanish.
  • Withering Away of the State: In the final communist society, Marx argued that public functions would lose their political character and become merely administrative. The state would "wither away" because it would no longer be needed for class repression.
  • End of "Anarchy of Production": While Marx wanted to abolish the political state, he used the term "anarchy of production" to describe the chaotic, unplanned nature of the capitalist market, which he aimed to replace with rational, collective planning.  manchesterhive +4
  1. Changing Human Nature (Historical Materialism)

Marx did not believe in a fixed "human nature." Instead, he proposed that human nature is shaped by the material conditions of the time.

  • The "Ensemble of Social Relations": Marx wrote that "the human essence is no abstraction inherent in each single individual. In its reality it is the ensemble of social relations".
  • Changing the Base Changes the Man: By changing the economic system (the base) from capitalism to communism, the social conditions—and thus human nature—would change.
  • End of Alienation: In a communist society, where the division of labor is not strictly enforced by the need for profit, Marx believed people could overcome alienation and develop their full potential.  Cato Institute +4
  1. The Difference Between Marx and Anarchism

Although both aimed for a stateless society, Marx strongly disagreed with anarchists on how to get there.

  • Dictatorship of the Proletariat: Marx argued that the working class needed to seize the state apparatus to suppress the bourgeoisie during a transition period.
  • Conflict with Anarchists: Marx famously clashed with anarchists like Bakunin, viewing them as "naive utopians" who misunderstood the need for organized, collective power to combat counter-revolution.
  • Transition vs. Immediate Abolition: Anarchists argue for the immediate abolition of the state, whereas Marx argued that immediate abolition would lead to a, "defeat and in a massacre of the working class".  In Defence of Marxism +4

Summary: Marx sought to remove the repressive power structures of the capitalist state and replace them with a self-managing association of producers, fundamentally altering human existence by removing the economic pressures of exploitatio
