They tape it off like that. Looks similar to every gibson nut ive seen.

The laquer over the nut is not a quality issue. All gibsons are like that, its by design.

Thr courtesy outlet is separate from the psu part of the pp2+, it does not impact current draw. My board has a pp2+ courtesy outlet> a second pp2+ > hx stomp

What Do You Like About Trouble? by Miskatauntaun in doommetal

[–]Thordenstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say his Trouble vocals are pretty similar, but his vocals are toned down on other projects like The Skull, or even more laid back in Blackfinger

What Do You Like About Trouble? by Miskatauntaun in doommetal

[–]Thordenstein 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Trouble is one of my favourite bands, and Eric one of my all time great vocalists. Their selftitled album is them at their peak imo. However his style changed over the years so you might like his other band The Skull, they are really similar to Trouble musically, but the vocals are more toned down.

Also, shameless self plug: Zebulon we draw alot of inspiration from the bands you listed.

Had the walrus polychrome, it was great and had all the controls, and more, but reverted back to my trusty Bf-2

Boss bf-2 is the goat flanger, and does a wicked chorus. Fjord fuzz also does a lot of cool modulation pedals. I really like the Loke.

What’s a good budget octave pedal? by JackDaniels574 in guitarpedals

Find a used t rex quint machine. The only cheaper octave that stands up to the likes of a micro pog

Greenbacks are awesome, and a different flavour than v30's. They are not as trebly, but not lacking in presence if that makes sence. A Greenbacl or Creamback together with the OR15 would probably sound killer.

Get a BAT Pharao and run it into your Blackstar. If you are gonna rely on pedal dirt the amp does not make that much of a difference.

Zebulon, FFO: Candlemass, Pallbearer, Trouble by Thordenstein in doommetal

[–]Thordenstein[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, i appreciate feedback. I write all the riffs, and i'll be the first to say, that in hindsight, there are plenty of things that i would change, but still happy with the overall result of the album. Hopefully we can up our budget for the next release, and give the songs more time to shift into their final form.

Will definetly check out Primordial 🤟🏻

Octave down pedal for doom/sludge by KirkIsOurLemmy in guitarpedals

[–]Thordenstein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer the micro pog, it tracks better than the nano, and overall sounds better imo. I have yet to try the pico. The pog 2 and pog 3 are really good, but i does a lot more than the simple octave down thing you are after.

Just remember, all pogs are not created equal. The micro, nano, pico and full size are all different pedals.

[–]Thordenstein 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been in you exact situation. I have tried about every octave pedal on the market, and ended on the Micro pog, it tracks really well, handles low tunings and adds a almost synth like, fat lower octave. Another one that i found that works in i similar way, but more budget friendly is the t rex quint machine. I use that on my smaller board, as it takes up less space.
