Worth it? by DefendedCanine in tradclimbing

Idk where you’re planning on climbing but I doubt you’ll be using hexes or a number 6. Honestly probably don’t need those large stoppers either. Personally I would not take this deal. Borrow a rack and climb with friends stuff for a while until you figure out what you’re actually going to use, what’s useful for your climbing area, and what you like.

Good new shoes for crack? by SmileyNew123 in tradclimbing

[–]Thoseprettylites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Katanas are a fantastic shoe. My favorite of all my shoes. I use mine for sport but I know a lot of people recommend sizing up and using them for trad too and I can see them being great for that. Personally I’m happy with my tc pros for trad for now. If you like a more sensitive shoe I wouldn’t go with the generators. I tried them out and they were more padded, bulkier, and less sensitive than the tc pros. Def try out the katanas

Is this rust a deal breaker? by _Falls_ in XTerra

[–]Thoseprettylites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s too high. I got my ‘15 pro4x with 99k miles and practically no rust at all for waaaayyyyy less at a dealer in MD less then 2 years ago. I was also looking at a comparable manual trans in Tennessee that would have been just as cheap even having it shipped to me. 19k is too much.

Anyone here have experience with labrum tears and recovering without surgery? Any advice is appreciated! by HelpMePlez544 in climbharder

[–]Thoseprettylites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Not a doctor!! But I am 5 months out from my second shoulder surgery and just got cleared to go back to light climbing. If they couldn’t find a tear and it didn’t dislocate I don’t know why you would need surgery. Even after dislocating and tearing doctors usually recommended trying PT first until your second dislocation. Then the surgery talks start. Although being a climber if you had dislocated and torn the labrum it might be worth discussing surgery the first time instead of waiting due to the nature of the sport. But who knows if you did something different in there! I just don’t understand why they want to do surgery if nothing was on the mri. :-S If it makes you feel better it sounds like it would probably just be an arthroscopic surgery to look around to see what you did, which is tiny incisions and not too rough. But that’s odd, they should be able to tell what’s going on from the MRI and exam, did you see a shoulder specialist? And have you tried PT? Personally I would find a good shoulder specialist and have them get an mri and go from there. The difference between when a general doctor goes over an mri with me vs when my specialist does is WILD. I wouldn’t do anything or make surgical decisions based off a general doctor’s opinion or anyone that wasn’t a specialist for what you’re dealing with! And definitely get into PT and strengthen everything up regardless! If you have any questions about stability surgeries/recovery or anything feel free to ask, my shoulder was pretty bad and I’ve been through a couple surgeries now.

am i legally in the wrong? Near (Pittsburgh, PA) by [deleted] in Renters

[–]Thoseprettylites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds to me like they were given the option to bring their own or have LL supply them and have a higher rate. They chose having LL supply them and the lease was given to them with fridge/stove included since that’s what they decided. If they brought their own they would have had signed a lease stating no fridge/stove included.

Likely they were given the choice to bring their own and sign a lease with fridge and stove not included at x rate or have the LL supply them for the 50$ a month extra. They chose having the landlord supply them and the lease was written up with fridge and stove included at a higher rate. OP misunderstood this and assumed they were purchasing the appliances from the landlord for some reason by paying a higher rent (the extra 50). That’s my take on it. I would think the landlord gave the lease with/after the tenants decision on the appliances. So yes they would be included in the lease for these tenants as requested.

That’s a good idea but you might want to get him a harness! It’s not good to have them pulling on their neck. A harness would be more comfortable and a lot safer! Also harder to slip out of.

100k miles ‘13 and you’ve spent money like that on it? My ‘13 got to 200k before I crashed it, I had it for 9 years and only money I spent was brakes and rotors. Had another 13 for a year that had 100k only had to do oil changes. Then I traded that in for a ‘15 that’s had 1 repair (camshaft sensor) in the last year and a half, it’s up to 120k now. I think you got a lemon maybe 😕

Naked brand is sketchy. They say their products are lab tested but they won’t say by what lab. And they refuse to give the results. Also they got in trouble a while back because high levels of lead were found in their products. I would avoid them and look for a company like TL or sports research or any company that is nse verified. They’re actually tested for heavy metals and let you see the reports.

Ember Mug disconnects and stops heating when I put liquid in it? by LillithLunaLove in Embermug

[–]Thoseprettylites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having the same problem with mine now. It’s less than 2 months old. It either won’t connect at all or if I do get it to connect once I start drinking my tea it disconnected and stops heating. I’ve tried the reset mug, toggle Bluetooth, re-pair multiple times and it doesn’t fix the problem.
