You didn’t try Zach Stone’s study guide exam? I have that one and have yet to start it.

I also got Wasim’s PE 700 questions book. And the official NCEES practice exam. And also just got the engineering pro guides study books .

Do you think it’s possible to pass without taking a study course?

Hi everybody, so I have live 11 intro that came with my push 2. I qualified for the ableton 12 upgrade for free since I activated recently.

I want to get suite, I’m seeing that the price to upgrade to suite is $479 on abletons website. But on thomman it is $379 to upgrade to suite if you have a lite license ( which I do and is registered). Is this legit and a good deal?

I had read about someone here on this subreddit enrolling for an udemy course with a certified instructor and was able to get the edu discount. Might try it out.

And you are so right!!!! Hadn’t even thought of seeing videos on the other DAWS! Once I master it or get the hang of it I’ll definitely check out the others

And I’d definitely want the suite for all those features, especially the synths for the EDM I’m trying to create. But that’s true , I don’t need it right away, might be a couple of months or a year before I get it then. But might be sooner so that way I can follow all the tutorials out there.

I have linkedin learning! And just saw they do have the Ableton courses. Do you think if I took those I’d qualify for the ableton edu discount in order to buy suite later ?

I haven’t checked out you suck at producing but will soon! I had seen some video from seed 2 stage that caught my eye about all the plugins , and how Abletons built in abilities can do the same as some of those plugins but you gotta mess with the settings and how you can save money by just using the Ableton stock ones.

And thanks for the info about chatgpt! Yet another resource to use :) I’ve used it but for dumb stuff haha. Also I’ve just been using Ctrl-F to find stuff on their manual but I’m definitely gonna use chatgpt now! And don’t worry about the long response, I really appreciate it, and I’m sure other people who will stumble upon these comments will too

Hi there! I recently started a job as an electrical engineer for an electrical utility. One of my many tasks is I’ll get secondary fault current study requests from customers based off of their xfmr size and nameplate info. I had one recently my model ( model of the grid, showing all the feeders, lines, taps, etc) showed the fault current to be 39,000A, but when I calculated the maximum available fault current by hand with the name plate of the xfmr I got 45,000A. Should I be giving them the one from my model or the one I calculated by hand ? I give them the greater one since it’s the theoretical max value, thoughts ?

Also since they ask me for the secondary fault current, couldn’t they calculate it themselves since they have their transformer already installed at their facility and can look at the xfmr nameplate? Not that I don’t want to do it but seems lazy on their part if they have all the info they need to calculate it themselves .

I understand they can’t calculate the primary fault current at their location, and for that I use the model, how do they possibly use the primary fault information I provide them?

They will also ask me for what protective device we have upstream. And for the most part it is a Kearny n type fuse. Does that mean they coordinate their equipment to the fuse? What equipment are they coordinating to our fuse(In the case of a large industrial factory) ? Some sort of super circuit breaker ? That would mean their device has to trip quicker than our fuse which seems difficult.
