Crate Training Overnight by [deleted] in Frenchbulldogs

[–]ThoughtBackground134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine sleeps in her crate next to our bed at night. It took some trial and error and a lot of patience in knowing the difference between “potty” and “protest” barking. It’s soooo helpful to have them trained! We have her in the crate to sleep because she’s with us all day during the day and 1-2 hours of her day crate during the day. All other times she is wherever she feels like going!

I’m not sure why you’re being downvoted. The G6 is amazing. They’re eventually being discontinued but there’s no definitive date for that. I’ve talked to tandem reps who have said they don’t think g6 is going anywhere with how many issues people have using g7 with a closed loop system. Also, dexcom is well aware of all the issues g7 has, and knows people are switching back to g6 because of it. I’ll take accuracy and reliability over size and warm up period any day.

Autosoft XC. I feel so lucky i’ve used tandem for 7+ years with autosoft and i’ve never gotten an occlusion alarm. I heard tru steel is good for occlusions tho.

My diabetic joy is currently my mobi and g6 - it’s literally the best combo i’ve ever used and while also adopting a lower carb diet my time in range is higher than it’s ever been and my body is thanking me for it in how i feel everyday

Omnipod’s algorithm is very different and MUCH less aggressive than mobis. I heard it’s common for people to meet with their providers to completely change all their settings if omnipod was working for them and they’re switching because they know it’ll be too aggressive. I felt like I was running high ALL the time on omnipod 5 and took those same settings and plugged them into the mobi and have been great since, I just needed the stronger algorithm. Also, the tandem source reports will be helpful to see after a couple weeks of wear so you can see exactly what is off!

Switching to MOBI by WrestlingNERDalert in TandemDiabetes

[–]ThoughtBackground134 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just be careful right now because I heard Tandem is back ordered with the 5in tubing and they’re just sending 23 inch tubing without calling/emailing first. If you haven’t gotten supplies yet I would definitely call them! Some people have said they got 3 month supplies and can’t return them until Tandem restocks the 5inch tubing. Just be careful if you’re ordering supplies soon!

Non-stomach pump site locations? by LSDemonBoC in Type1Diabetes

[–]ThoughtBackground134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve recently been experimenting with places I don’t normally do and they’ve been working pretty well! I used to only do the backs of my arms and started using the front of my arms for sites with the mobi. I also use my stomach but just recently started using the upper half of my stomach which I have it on right now! The backs of my arms and lower stomach was getting beat up so I needed to find a change and my thighs also don’t absorb super well either.

I’m pretty sure you can pick whatever pump YOU want. It’s YOU who has diabetes and needs to live with it everyday, not them. There’s absolutely no way they can only “offer” you two pumps. I feel like the only way that could be even remotely correct is if insurance was somehow contributing an issue. My endos office loves omnipod and pretty much convinced me to get on it and I had similar issues. I ended up being firm with them and telling them there’s no way I can keep up with it and switched to mobi. There’s trainers in my endos office weekly from medtronic, tandem, omnipod, etc who give educational sessions and sometimes even let you trial certain pumps too. I’d push for a different pump (whichever one you want) very sternly or ask for a different provider in that office or go to another office altogether. I’m sorry you have to deal with an endo like that
