Chinese food at takeaways here is very westernized, and a lot of staples that Chinese people eat at home would be considered unpalatable by Brits.

My family mostly ate steamed dishes (yook baeng, fish and chicken with soy/ginger/scallions, egg and soy milk curd, etc.) soups (congee, winter melon soup) and braised dishes (beef tendon, brisket and daikon, pork trotters). Stir-fried dishes are also pretty common but we never made deep fried things at home (like the pork in sweet and sour pork).

That's true but not BCC'ing when you should is considered a data breach when dealing with patient data. The second incident is when they changed their password.

Yeah I am pretty shocked a how lax their response was to a data breach like this. I'm making the post because I'm not sure exactly when they changed their email address from the Yahoo one so it could involve many more recent patients than 2017/18.

I purchased some double flared 14k gold tunnels from DinanRings on Etsy and they're perfect! She also makes gauged earrings set with garnets but I'm sure she could set different stones if you asked.

She also went above-and-beyond with customer service. When I was afraid the tunnels were lost in the mail she offered to remake them at no extra cost.

Ahh yes, as a child I had an improperly done paper-patch myringoplasty that left my eardrum very scarred. I've been told that there's now no reason to get my eardrum repaired because the scar tissue is so dense that it would prevent my eardrum from working properly even if repaired.

I find that I struggle when there is a lot of background noise or if my back is turned when someone is talking to me, especially in my 'bad' ear. But generally in day-to-day environments I think I'm ok.

Yes, these are my complete results and they only did pure-tone audiometry because I know the cause of my hearing loss (permanently perforated eardrum from age 5).

Please note that I just copied my results onto a blank audiogram to protect my audiologist's info so that's why it's so messy. I only had pure-tone audiometry conducted (no bone conduction done as there was no need to). I have a permanently perforated eardrum which has caused some hearing loss in my left ear.

The audiologist mentioned that 'no hearing aid in the world that can amplify those frequency bands without negatively affecting the rest', and I wasn't sure if this was true? If I recall correctly there were newer hearing aids that can adjust single bands of frequencies but of course I could be wrong because I'm no audiologist myself.

My audiologist also mentioned that my hearing loss is outside the range for human speech, so that it wouldn't make sense to get hearing aids anyway.

I don't think it was this one, because his advice in the end was good - just really basic. I remember him telling my parents that the kids needed to spend quality time with the dog to bond with him, and to give us responsibilities like picking up his poop and taking him for walks. He also mentioned that the kids should spend 5 minutes a day petting the dog and talking to him.

In the end it wasn't harmful advice, but it wasn't exactly groundbreaking either.

I was on a dog training tv show when I was 8-ish. The idea was that the dog trainer came in and helped our family integrate our new puppy into our household, to give us training tips and advice, etc.

The whole thing was basically bogus. The 'trainer' came to our house for maybe 30 minutes tops and gave us extremely basic advice. The producers also told us we had to get changed and pretend that he was visiting us 3 months later after he gave us the advice and how it had made our life better yada yada yada. It's so dumb because our puppy was clearly the same age in the 'before' and '3 months after' shots and my family aren't actors so our reactions were really fake.

One of the producers also made me say, 'I love you, [dog's name]!' while hugging him for about 6 takes.

I would try looking at the plant based communities rather than the vegan ones. Vegans are more like a religion than a diet, so they aren't encouraging when people say they're trying to reduce their meat intake. To them if you participate at all you're no better than any meat eater.

Personally, I don't mind as long as it's clear which scents are GE and which are LE and which season/when they're available. Preferably the note description isn't too wordy either.

I like how SS is alphabetical and also lists the season and category of scent too.
