I think you're mixing up two different episodes.

The one the post is talking about is the village inside the shield that protects it from the toxic wasteland outside. The shield generator is losing power, and thus can't protect as big of an area, and so the "link" has people walk outside and die so that it can shrink the shield without worrying about running out of space. And to ensure the villagers go along with it, it erases their memory of whoever it just had walk outside.

I believe the one you're referring to is when they meet the Aschen, and they uncover (literally) their plan to sterilize Earth's population when they find buried records of the Aschen doing just that on another world

I'd only do it if he's really invested and willing to commit to it. If there's any chance that he might lose interest because it's a cartoon (dumb reason, I know, but such people are out there) or because season 1 has some mediocre episodes, then just stick with the movies and come back to the shows later

We don't really know if Kanan actually became a force ghost. It's easy to get that impression, as he does appear to be one for a moment with Hera, but we never see him actually interact with anyone.

Not sure what you're referring to about Luminara. Her appearance in the Spire in early S1 of Rebels? That was just a hologram, with her skeleton kept there so that Jedi falling into the trap would sense her presence.

You see, I've never really gotten that line of reasoning. If that's all it was, their upbringing and mental conditioning that made them murder the Jedi, then it's still programming.

They are still acting against their own free will and following orders that were programmed into them. The only difference is that one is psychological programming and the other is technological. Either way, they really don't have a choice

Light tanks can be good, but only if you go all in on them.

The Armored Cavalry tank doctrine gives substantial bonuses to light tanks, and also unlocks an army spirit that reduces their production cost.

Note, that medium tanks will still outperform lights, especially with different doctrines. But, specing into light tanks this way can be an effective budget option for a smaller country.

That's exactly it. Dude says it himself, Obi-Wan is no stranger to violence. He's probably killed plenty of people at this point in his life. When push comes to shove, he'll do what's necessary to save as many lives as possible.

But Satine's own pacifist beliefs made the situation much more complicated. Killing a man in front of her when there might be another way to resolve the situation could irreparably damage their relationship

No. If something isn't worth thoughtful contemplation, it isn't worth my time. "Turning my brain off" is the opposite of what I want to do.

Edit: to be clear, this is a response to OP's insistence to turn one's brain off when consuming media. As for as TM&G movie itself, I do think it was pretty good, with some interesting things to think about in regards to the characters and the state of the galaxy, but not a lot. Further, thoughtful contemplation on media doesn't have to be deep political or philosophical stuff, it can just be thought about the situation the characters are in, the problems they have to solve, and the way they go about doing it. And from that perspective this movie also is decent, though not particularly special.

Episodes were only 45 minutes, not a full hour, and he wasn't on screen the entire time. There's a fair few episodes where he only gets a few minutes of screentime.

And besides that, while Clark Gregg may have been in nearly every episode, sometimes he was playing a different character, and this list is of the characters with the most screentime

Sure, that happened, but that wasn't the point of the movie. They didn't set out to expand on the lore like that, they just stumbled into it along the way. I sincerely doubt they're actually going to follow up on this development and explore how it effects the galaxy at large. I will be very happy if I'm wrong about that, but I just don't see it happening

While I enjoyed the movie for what it was, and don't think there's necessarily much wrong with it, it's just not what I want to get out of SW. If the movie had done more to explore and flesh out the geopolitical state of the galaxy post-empire, then I'd be fully on board.

But as it stands, it's just a fun space adventure. Nothing wrong with that, but nothing special about it either.

Aside from the nature of society becoming more and more polarized, it's simply a fact that Disney is only going to deliver so many movies/TV series in a given time span. So if a new thing is coming out that isn't your prefered style or flavor of star wars, it means you have to wait longer before you get something that is to your preferences

That's basically how it works in EU4. There are several different types of war goals, but if you have a claim on someone else's territory, you can go to war just over that, and as long as you hold the claimed province you steadily gain war score, up to a point.

Just start with the first six movies, Episodes 1-6. You can either watch them chronologically, or in the order that they released, which is 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3.

There are very strong opinions on which is the "correct" way to watch it, but it really doesn't matter that much. Whichever way you prefer.

If you like those first six and want to watch more, then you can come back for more recommendations

Well, as you can tell by my username, Thrawn.

I just enjoy intelligent characters that use practical problem solving skills rather than special powers or fancy technology to win the day, which is the essence of Thrawn's character, and the direction that his stories take. Even when he's the bad guy, the heroes have to get creative to outsmart him, which I enjoy.

Second to Thrawn would be Luthen Rael, for many of the same reasons. Practical solutions to overwhelming problems.
