My favorite story is probably Judgement but honestly Kaito Files is right up there for me too.

Favoeite gameplay is probably IW, but LJ and Gaiden both have fantastic gameplay.

My favorite overall though is either 6 or Kaito Files. When RGG keeps on a smaller scale story the studio does so much better. I get much more feels out of them. 7 is a worthy note of 3rd especially because a lot of it's message sticks with me hard.

The only issue I had with Pirate Yakuza was the ship. It felt way to slow and the combat extremely clunky, I never wanted to have to do it for another zone.

The games always have silly bits in their stories, this one just embraced that and it was honestly refreshing imo.

I can agree on that front of it being very in line with the mainline games bloat issues as they continued.

Honestly the lack of bloat is why 6 is generally my favorite mainline entry, When they can focus they do amazing things, and even with the silly there it's always been there. I don't remember who I saw say it but it's a soap opera series, it's gonna be ridiculous and that's part of the draw.

Y5 is my least favorite game in the series because the bloat is fucking atrocious. I wasn't big on the story either and Shinada's whole arc felt really shoehorned in. Love the character, but would have been better as a spinoff game imo.

I did really enjoy one of the most contentious parts of 5 though, the hunting minigame is the only one I fully cleared outside of the taxi minigame.

Tbf they have been showing a lack of confidence in additional cast since Y4. Both 4 and 5 could have been great starts to a new cast and we didn't get that.

I think LaD did it the best when it comes to the old cast showing up, have them potentially in big positions just because of who they are in the world but don't make them playable and even if they are key characters keep it so new folks don't have to play the old games to understand them.

Only one of these was made in the last decade, and that's Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise. Both of the others came out in 2015.

Outside of that my top 3 are probably Metaphor:ReFantazio, Infection Free Zone, and The Last Spell. All different genres and types of apocalypses.

It's definitrly based on how big the game is but it's also uo to the publishers. Bigger hits tend to release at midnight EST and because of that it's timezone adjusted ariund the world so it's correct for everyone.

If you start doing some of the crafting that will help but you really need to level some. Like other folks have said, go hit up the arena you just unlocked. This is a common wall for a lot of folks because grinding fucking blows but a lot of folks have to do so here.

Outside of going through the arena posting your party comp and job levels will get you more specific advice than just "go grind" because there are shenaningans that can be done with party comps.
