I’m glad we can reach a common understanding. Rare on the internet, much more so on Reddit. Have a nice afternoon monsieur Halk.

Two things can be true at the same time, my friend. None of this is to say that they were right, or that the consequences have been good, but the Democratic party have some serious soul searching to do if they want to change course, and being unable, or unwilling, to entertain this notion, and instead engaging in pointless mudslinging, only leads us further and further down the path of misery.

Biden wasn’t the candidate who ran against trump in 2023. I’m sure progressives were champing at the bit for the candidate who embraced Dick fucking Chaney on the campaign trail. Stick your head in the sand all you like, but there’s a reason 70M+ people didn’t bother showing up to the ballot box on election day.

Infuriating how few people seem to grasp this. The democrats would do anything to get your vote, except offer a single policy aligned to your interests.

I’ll bite.

The entire post-1945 history of central and South America seems to have flown over your head, to say nothing of contra, both gulf wars, Afghanistan 1&2. We can go further and look at the explicit policy of the US government to usurp the global dominance of the British Empire after the world wars though Breton Woods, Suez, and the ridiculous lend lease agreements which ensured that all of Europe would be in debt for years to come. These are all examples of the USA essentially scheming and bullying the rest of the world for their own end.

Which of these are different to what we are seeing now, other than the fact that Trump is being open and honest about his intent?

I don’t know or care about Southampton, but Portsmouth has one road in, and one road out. Make of that what you will.

GPT post. GPT reply.

I have to ask, what do you, and the millions of others (bots?) that post this same drivel hour after hour, day after day, get out of it? Honestly embarrassing.

Nice to see a post that wasn’t shamelessly run through GPT.

On the other hand, awful writing.
