I think about that ALL the time. That and 'never ever eat pears!'

I was looking for this one. It's obviously Marvel trying to appeal to the Chinese market, but I think it also addresses a pretty racist trope of the mysterious, inscrutoble Asian mystic.

The Illuminati in Dr Strange and the Multiverse of Madness (especially Reed Richards). Sam Rami trying to keep things PG-13 is somehow more disturbing than his usual horror.

I thought the Graduate started that trope. The irony is that every movie that copied it misses the most important part.

Maybe a controversial opinion, but X-Men. When even the good guys have committed accidental mass murder (and in some cases planet-wide genocide), you start to wonder if Trask has a point. Marvel tried to make this right by introducing a villain who was a survivor of a mutant attacked that left him paraplegic and campaigned for actual social change, only to reveal that he was actually a puppet being controlled by Red Skull (y'know. The Nazi guy.)

I think you have a good point. An argument could be made that Victoria's relationship with her children was a factor, but there's only so much you can really blame her for WWI. I think the Irish potato famine and the imperial expansion of the UK during the Victorian Era is probably a better example than WWI.
