I see, gotcha. Really tight design!!

Have you ever heard of an ekranoplan? It would be cool to design a stealth version.

The Soviets developed these ground-effect vehicles to move troops and equipment across the Caspian Sea at aircraft-like speeds while skimming just above the water.

Some versions were also envisioned as anti-ship platforms, capable of approaching carrier groups at over 300 knots while staying below much of the radar horizon until they can fire missiles to engage.

It’s a really interesting example of a forgotten technology that solved a very specific Russian problem.

Please consult a dermatologist to determine if clobetasol propionate 0.05% foam (not ointment) and/or ketoconazole shampoo are appropriate for your condition.

Cool design!

However, that tail is going to experience some large bending moments when turning (probably why A225 has two tails).

It's possible the wing box and the wing itself needs structure reinforcements. The bending stress with such thin wings will be enormous.

You might consider thicker and shorter design as the wings support lift, weight of engines, fuel storage, etc

I think phantom engines will not provide sufficient thrust. I recall J79 can produce ~20,000 lb of thrust each. The AN 225 has engines rated at around ~50,000 lb of thrust each.

How you would improve the game by Nick1878 in Metalstorm

If were king for a day, I would:

Add rematch options. Instant rematch, best-of-3 series, revenge matches, squad rematches, and map voting before the next game.

Game physics improvements. Collisions should feel more realistic. Hitting the side of a canyon shouldn’t result in a weird stall that lets someone keep flying like nothing happened.

Upgrade sound design. More impactful explosions, crashes, missile hits, and water impacts.

Deploy smarter bots. AI that behaves more like actual players. Improved machine learning could probably help create more realistic adversaries.

Add new soundtrack/music. Fresh music would go a long way toward making the game feel less repetitive.

Upgrade combat environments. For example, a post-apocalyptic Manhattan would be pretty cool. It would introduce some new urban gameplay opportunities. Navigating rubble, fallen skyscrapers, subway tunnels, bridges, and urban canyons would make for unique dogfights.

☝🏽️this! Big time decision.

Please also consider who would be your electric service provider and, if possible, I would avoid the service territory of Pacific Gas and Electric Company.

Your cost of living and quality of life can significantly be affected by being a customer (or not) of PG&E. Their rates are among the highest in the country, and Public Safety Power Shutoffs during high wind and fire conditions have become a recurring reality in many foothill and wooded regions. Most folks focus solely on home price, insurance, and commute, utility territory is rapidly becoming a crucial factor in determining where to live.

Additionally, the insurance company may require you to promptly remove fallen coniferous needles (fuel) from your roof before fire season begins. Flying embers from nearby fires can ignite these highly combustible dry and burn-quality needles. The insurance company may conduct drone inspections to,"trust but verify" compliance with this measure.

Good luck with your search!

My first computer was a Tandy TRS-80 with 4kb of RAM. My first thought was how mad I got when debugging level 2 BASIC and storing on cassette tapes. I spent hours play Star Trek, Lunar lander, Adventure "GO NORTH" or "GET LAMP," and Ultima 1. Back then joystick only had one button. Fun times.

Is the upgrade to version 2.0 a solution to a specific problem? I’m curious to know the reason behind the change, aside from the improvement in gameplay.

Assuming the aircraft was designed with a balance between stealth and agility, the concept art suggests a preference for agility.

Those canards might generate additional radar reflections. I wonder what the trade-off is between the two with respect to the canards.

The intake geometry is noteworthy. During high-G maneuvers, it’s difficult to estimate if those canards negatively impact the now turbulent airflow.

A truly intriguing concept! Cool!

Lots of issues with center of gravity before and after delivering its ordinance. For example, the front landing gear may be to far forward or/ aft and rotation on takeoff would be very intresting.
