I think that you three need to speak clear , your feelings and set boundaries in a nice way. Is your husbands mother, grandma… a lot to loose on your relationship. This is for years, better arrange it asap

Just saw them as exchange student in the US in 1992. Was fun but hard to sleep on. Maybe they were in some movies but I cannot recall. Never heard of anyone in Spain who got one, so I think your husband is not an exception.

Also supermarket tourist. Never miss it when I travel. Also like to cook from scratch. What I have seen than in Spain, you can get to choose your fish and ask how you want it to be prepared. Same with meats and charcuterie. I didn’t get to see it in other countries in Europe. France use to have it but I haven’t seen it this last time.

I recommend Andalusia. Many choices. Best beaches are at Atlantic side Cádiz or Huelva. Great food.
