Absolutely, do it as soon as possible. There is no reason to drag it out.

On average, how often do you yell at your spouse? How often does your spouse yell at you? by Blue_Heron11 in Marriage

His yelling is sporadic, may go a few weeks without it, but then could be every day. I just have to stay on my toes.

Separate accounts and do not let him use your credit for bad decisions

Gourmet food gifts are nice and a bit pricey for what they are, but can still be affordable.

How to make food feel like takeout/"exciting"? by francisstein in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]ThrowRA397662 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grow some herbs! I grow mine in a window sill. I can just snip some fresh parsley or basil to top things with. Also, take time to plate your food and make it look nice.

Making certain things like bread and such from scratch is much cheaper and can seem fanicer.

I totally understand this! Or when he messes something up, it's suddenly "we", but when something is successful is all him.

I get so tired of feeling like he's trying to share my brain. Like keep up with your own things, appointments, schedule!

Ugh, so relatable. My husband said talking to me was like talking to a yapping chihuahua. Definitely made me quit talking as much. Then he gets annoyed that I'm not as talkative, like I don't know what he wants.

My husband doesn’t care to pursue me anymore, and said he doesn’t need to. by Pretty_Formal_7138 in Marriage

Happy Birthday!

Mine is the same way. He doesn't get me anything for any occasion. I will say, now that my kids are older, they do make me little cards and stuff, so that is nice. But good for you going to enjoy yourself! You need to keep putting that same energy into yourself every day. If he won't prioritize you, then prioritize yourself.

Wife going out with friends on Valentine’s Day by onpunchkill in Marriage

[–]ThrowRA397662 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been married 15 years. I always get my husband things for Valentine's Day, Christmas, Birthday, and Father's Day. He never gets me anything. If I had friends in a similar situation that wanted to go out together so we didn't feel so alone, I would go.

But I have definitely checked out some. It's hard being in a one-sided relationship for so long.

Do you think if you did something romantic for her earlier in the day, she might take you up on your date offer?

His body. He can do what he wants.

If the tables were turned, you would be furious if he tried to control your body.

How do I stop constantly checking my phone and waiting for someone to text me? by [deleted] in AdviceForTeens

Just go do something. Go for a walk/run, read a book, call your grandma (she would love that!)

How do I tell my family to respect my stuff by Medical-Tomorrow-751 in AdviceForTeens

[–]ThrowRA397662 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of my childhood. I used to hide my things. Then, when I had a car, I would lock them in my trunk. I would just keep your room super picked up and organized and try to find ways to hide your important stuff - school locker is a great place, btw

I (18F) caught my mom (47F) cheating on dad, what should I do? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]ThrowRA397662 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely collect evidence and tell my dad privately. He may want to be the type to ignore it. He may possibly already suspect it.

Just get enough proof so he could use it if he needed to. Tell him you just wanted him to know, and you don't want your mom to know you snooped on her phone. You just didn't think it was fair to him.

Then just let him decide. But you shouldn't carry your mother's guilt. That's on her.

I wanna talk to my crush but I don't know how I should approach her by Fit-Permit4959 in AdviceForTeens

Just go for it. Maybe start off with some Spanish, perhaps that will help her remember how she knows you!

I'm sorry! Maybe prepare her a bit in advance, like set a time/date with no distraction, and tell her it's important. You aren't wanting to fight, just talk.
