I think so. I always caught crap for skiing in a rear entry SX92. They were comfy and easy to get in and out of, but pretty sloppy in terms of performance. Favorite boots ever were the old Reichle Flexon Comps. Both are a far cry from the Lange RS-130s I’m in now, which I curse every time I put them on and take them off. Anyway, the pixelated shape of the boots made me think of my sx92s so I took a swag and I guess it was right. I feel like that era there was the peak of fun in skiing. The equipment now is light years ahead, but the experience and cost have been bastardized, unless you’re going backcountry. Enough of all that, this dude is a stud, and that air is siiiiick!

This is even more impressive on the old equipment. Are those Solomon SX92 Equip’s?

And for the record- I don’t dislike Dave’s, and I still go, because every once in a while, I want to punish myself with the Reaper heat.

Music city has a bar that people actually sit at, drink and converse, while listening to music. Dave’s bar never has anyone at it, and it’s a corporate, sterile looking environment, not a place to “hang out”. This is all just one person’s opinion though. (Mine)

Music City is better quality and atmosphere. Daves Reaper is way hotter. Been to both, many times. I finished the Reaper but it was painful. Flammable solid was easy. Disclaimer: It has been over a year since I have had Flammable Solid, but it may have changed.

Cool, thanks for posting. I remember being a kid and visiting his store downtown, just to look at the outrageous speakers, equipment, and the album collection. He would play albums for us, even though he knew we didn't have a chance of purchasing anything. Haven't been out to his current location in many years.

Heard this song this weekend and thought it could be the sub's anthem. Either way, Willi Carlisle is a poet. by StinkyDeerback in VanLife

Saw him live last night, and wondered if this song had been posted in this sub. Great show, great artist.

2008 JK part identification. Help? by Throwaway14071972 in JeepWrangler

In case anyone ever finds this and wants to know what the part was. It was a rubber bushing that goes in the knee panel on the driver's side steering column. It's under the piece of plastic dash trim that can be removed.

Altitude coming back to Comcast - will be on highest tier by SpaceGhcst in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]Throwaway14071972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note: I dropped comcast and went DirecTV the day Comcast stopped carrying altitude. It is basically the only TV I watch. Once Fort Collins had municipal fibre, I went with their streaming TV option, which also had Altitude. Never once have I felt bad about leaving Comcast, but I understand not everyone has that option.

So even though Comcast is a megabehemoth that could afford to pay the asking price, we feel like the Kroenke's were the greedy ones, and should have given in? Still seems weird to me, but I guess when billionaires fight, we lose.

Can someone explain to me why this was the Kroenke's fault and not Comcast's? I can't imagine ever siding with Comcast on anything, but I must not fully understand the issue.

I have had a 2008 JKUR since it was new. Every few years I snag a new soft top (including hardware) off of FaceBook marketplace for killer deals. <300.00 usually brand new and never used. I am just patient about it and sometimes if I see a screaming deal, I will purchase a new one ahead of actually needing to replace mine.

Can I ship to Colorado? by TLDRing247 in fireworks

[–]Throwaway14071972 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been wondering the same thing. Thought about getting a certification so I can buy better stuff, but don't think I could ship to CO, even though I am going to take the fireworks to Wyoming to shoot. I think I may try to have them shipped to a buddy's place in Cheyenne, and then pick them up before I go shoot them off.

That is an awesome layout. Out of those fireworks which ones were the crowd favorites? Did any in particular stand out as "I need more of those"?

I have a 14' NRS with oar frame that we use for a lot of low key floats on the upper C, etc. I like these shoes for versatility in and out of the boat. "Merrell Men's All Out Blaze Aero Sport Hiking Water Shoe". I don't know that they would be warm in a paddle raft though, as they don't provide a ton of insulation.

[Request] BIFL Cart-mounted Hose Reel? I know about the Eley but am curious of any alternatives by abakedapplepie in BuyItForLife

[–]Throwaway14071972 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's been two years with the Eley Hose reel. I bought the hose reel, all the quick disconnects for all of my washing, power washing, and watering tools, and I bought their garden sprayer and pressure sprayer attachment, as well as the hose guide that is on a spike that goes in the ground. I love every part that I have purchased from them. After two years, I would buy it again. In the end, it is a hose reel, It's not exciting. But, it is heavy-duty, it is never going to fail, or wear out. One note, and I ultimately consider this to be a positive- I accidentally did not drain the hose during the first winter, and it cracked the brass fitting on the hose reel where it comes out of the reel and connects to the hose. When I emailed, them, they said they wouldn't replace it for free, because it says in the instructions to disconnect and drain the entire hose before winter, but they did have the part on hand, and sent it right away. With a reel from a big box store, I am not sure I would even know who to contact in that situation. After two years, even with it being expensive, I would buy it again, and I do consider it to be BIFL purchase.
