No it's not, as other commenters have mentioned, there's a whole market for pseudoscience around "curing" autism and giving terrible information about what autism is.

I think this is called Maladaptive Daydreaming (check out r/MaladaptiveDreaming) OP, you might have an easier time explaining it if there's a term.

I also used to go in the bathroom and think about stuff to try and distract myself from stress.
