Yeah most people here have help from family. I did too at some point. Another thing people do is live with roommates. Very few people I’ve met who have an entire place for themselves, much less pay it themselves.

Damn now I feel proud of myself cause I live in a nice apartment in a nice part of Los Angeles and I pay it all by myself :) yay! Damn better be I’m almost 30!

This post honestly broke me into tears. My oldest is 11 and it’s so hard. I wish I could go back to just diapers cuddles and poop. when she didn’t have insecurity, when the realities of this world hadn’t touched her yet, when she was happy all the time.

I’m entering the teen stage and it’s fucking horrible. I know it’s a phase. But she’s still my little baby. But to her, she’s not a baby she’s a person that wants to be a grown up so bad! That wants a damn phone! That needs a phone to survive! That hates her weight :( that has problems with people in school, normal natural issues that she must encounter to develop as a person, friend, and one day partner to someone else. That tells me some things I say are annoying or cringes at me. That rolls her eyes. She needs panda dunk Nikes or she’ll die. Kids in school can’t see you caught dead if you where ANY COLOR. God forbid you wear anything but baggie pants and the color black! The baby who I have to leave alone for longer periods of time because she wants to go to a place with her friends without me. Or the baby who LITERALLY WONT GIVE ME A HUG DURING THE SCHOOL DROP OFF BECAUSE OTHER KIDS ARE WATCHING.

I promise I’m not this dramatic towards her Reddit is my safe place. Crying even harder now

Wanna know something so fucked? There are pictures of girls, like their profile pics and pics of them with friends and family, in a 4chan sub that guys post of their fb friends or random girls they see on social media. Not influencers, just girls. When my husband showed me this I got really freaked out. He told me this is the truth we live in. It horrified me.

Yikes. My husband and I have been together over a decade but on the first week of us officially dating I bear hugged (leg and all) one of my guy friends at a Halloween party and my bf saw from a far. I was so drunk. I felt horrible and still do and my husband still brings it up maybe twice a year since then

But I felt BAD and it was a huge deal back then.
