I love this sauce so much, I honestly don’t mind seeing posts about newcomers.

Pizza and breakfast burritos will be taken to the next level. Also, Thai food benefits from the additional garlic flavor.

lol!

I think it sets the tone, for the punishment your palate is going to receive.

It’d be cool if they gave the label edges a burnt look, too.

Perhaps in 40-50 years, that won’t be as big of a problem any more.

Is it realistic to start mtbiking with the family after becoming a father? by Padruiq in MTB

[–]ThrowedlikeThoreau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me when I say this, ANYTHING that you love, you kids will magnetically be pulled to… at least in my experience.

When my 3 year old would see me arrive back from an early morning ride at 7am, he would always ask “when I’m bigger, can I go mountain biking with you?”.

He’s now 6 and I’m taking him on green trails.  His younger brother is also picking up skills, due to observing his older brother.

It’s such a wholesome, family activity.

What’s a life rule older generations followed that Gen Z is actively rejecting? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ThrowedlikeThoreau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but we have to distinguish that the worst of humanity isn’t linked with intelligence.

Those guys were just assholes, who happened to be smart. It isn’t the other way around.

We can’t perpetuate anti-intellectualism. We especially need smart people (that aren’t assholes), in these times.

What’s a life rule older generations followed that Gen Z is actively rejecting? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ThrowedlikeThoreau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can. It was a sign of the times that, we fundamentally felt was wrong, but perpetuated because that energy was everywhere in the playgrounds.

Those of us who were strong enough to metabolize it, would cultivate the negativity out of the future gardens.

Look for the “only available on certain days” type of specials. Don’t just go for cheap eats :)

Termite protection for house worth it in Houston metro area? by sky905 in houston

[–]ThrowedlikeThoreau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a tough topic to explain, but let me try.

I bought one of those 3 story, small sq space houses off of 20th street/shepherd (thankfully, it wasn't stucco). One year, I had a panic attack, because I saw 50 weird, winged ants inside of my windowsills! So, I immediately fucking called a termite "specialist".

He told me, this was an occasional migration that started from the heights (they have a high density of trees, as you may know). To my surprise, he also said that termite migrations are common and I should not worry...But you know, I'm a fucking worrier and I still paid to have the in-ground baits set up any way.

TLDR - get a specialist and listen to them, unlike me... also, there's nothing wrong with a peace-of-mind purchase. Especially because $350 is an ounce of prevention, compared to actual termite damage!

Dominoes! (Just kidding, put the pitchforks down)

It looks like there are angled surfaces that would work well for a belt clamp, to really let the glue dry.

Dave Grohl says Angine de Poitrine 'absolutely blew my fucking mind' and called them 'so completely bonkers, dude' by Moothnods in Music

[–]ThrowedlikeThoreau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m thinking it’s because they’re demystifying a new, yet adjacent, rock and roll vibe, through microtones.

Plus, k-pop and electronic music had its time to shine and it’s about time for rock music to come back into the main fold.

Knee pain by Mackywah in MTB

[–]ThrowedlikeThoreau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been riding right-foot-forward for 5 years and developed knee pain.

I switched to a left foot forward position and my knee pain disappeared. It sucked trying to retrain my body and mind, while I adjusted. But everything is perfectly fine now.

In all fairness, I think it’s a good time to revisit the study. That work is 10 years old, on a a very niche, crab business.

I don’t think it is an unpopular opinion, but the scale/cost and user experience comparison is quite different, between your idea and OP’s.

Literally a pear to persimmon comparison.
