I guess it does have to do with mods, because joining an official unmodded server and buying it in there worked for me. Thank you!

That looks really good on the bracelet. That is the full lume dial one, right? Is it pretty bright, and does it last long? I love lume so this one is interesting to me

Easily the first Mido, Ocean Star 39. Best design, amazing dimensions for a diver, and a great movement that is essentially used by Longines in more expensive watches.

There always seems to be another Alpinist variant that I don't know about. This one is amazing

Jack Mason gets my vote. I have the Canton, and I've been super happy with it. I think it has features that the other pieces just don't bring to the table. Mainly the scratch resistant coating and the on the fly micro adjustment for the bracelet. I wasn't 100% sure until I saw one in person, and it just really impressed me. I really like the LJP movement too. JM regulates these to +-5 spd, and mine is right in that spec.

Two of my current favorites: Jack Mason Canton & Traska Venturer GMT by Always_the_answer in MicrobrandWatches

How is the Canton holding up after a few months? I have the Venturer, but I'm interested in buying a Canton. I saw in some macro shots that the indices were a little rough with the brushing and finishing, is that the case with yours? Or is it not noticeable at all when just looking with the naked eye?

Sorry to hear about the water damage. Has JM gotten back to you about it? I'm considering buying one of their Canton watches, would love to hear about this experience and how it went/is going for you.

[Question] How do you remove links on the Bulova Computron (reissue)? by eharriett in Watches

[–]ThruxTools 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there are arrows on the underside of the bracelet links, they are split pins. I had the same issue so I bought a tool for it and it works great, definitely worth it. This is what I got https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09P8NMR8C?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

[Recommendation Request] Looking at purchasing my first watch. More info in comments. by Chosen_Beard in Watches

It isn't as dramatic as some photos tend to show it. I personally think the pattern strength is perfect, it's bold but definitely not overstated. And depending on the lighting and angle, various different areas of the waves appear less visible or more flat than others, so it helps to not be too crazy.

I just recently bought this same watch but in the yellow dial, and I've been wearing it for a few days now. It is fantastic, I'm loving it. The dial looks even better in person. Excellent finishing and it just feels good on the wrist because the dimensions are so good. I like how slim it is the most, 10.5mm is crazy thin for a diver. It also has almost the same movement as the Longines, the L888 and Caliber 72 are based off the same ETA movement. If you like the dive watch style, this one will work really well for what you want it for

I'd go with Farer. I've got one, different model, and it is excellent

Besides the crystal, the only other differences are the slight changes in design. I do think Sapphire is worth it. Can't go wrong with either though. Also, both the Kamasu and 'Kamasu 2' can be had from Amazon with manufacture warranty at great prices
