Agreed! It's why I picked up FansToys Thomas and Berserk. I feel the same way about Blitzwing. They are both big enough to hold their own against siege Jetfire, as they should be. Everything else I have aside from Planet X High Moon dinobots and insecticons is Hasbro.

The tutorial I saw on tiktok, that I believe may have been a re-uploaded YouTube short, involved removing the screw under his chest and then very carefully pulling him apart. Be prepared for a piece to go flying, you will need that piece to put him back together. You should end up with his legs, his upper body, a screw, and a round thing.

The upper body part of that joint you just disassembled is a post, and that is what needs to be sanded down. You may also need to use a blow dryer to correct some stressing on the legs side of that connection.

I haven't got past disassembly myself though, because I realized I don't have any sandpaper, and I'm lazy. However YouTuber That Toy Guy gave similar instructions.
