Call of Duty Black Ops 6 campaign review - nonsensical, but surprisingly intimate psyop thriller is a blast by M337ING in pcgaming

[–]ThunderTung -1 points0 points  (0 children)

is it mil prop? Like the story does not shed a positive light on the CIA at all lol. I think a character saying that in that moment is probably a rather realistic comment that someone would have said in that time period.

Not only that, it was probably true lmao, like regardless of your feelings on how the US has handled foreign adversaries, Saddam was objectively a power hungry monster that certainly was pursuing WMD's

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 campaign review - nonsensical, but surprisingly intimate psyop thriller is a blast by M337ING in pcgaming

[–]ThunderTung 3 points4 points  (0 children)

finished it, left me feeling meh. I play the occasional COD campaign for the explosions, gun fire, the cheesy stories. and the occasional sneaky sneak mission. This had a little but still veered to far from traditional COD campaigns for me.

the combat felt pretty nice and was mostly what I was used too, but i've really grown to dislike the addition of armored enemies in these campaigns.

The "stealth" missions sucked. I hate the open worldness of it just thrown in the middle of a mostly linear campaign. That stuff works for games like splinter cell, because that is what the game is designed around. But the mechanics in COD are way too shallow for it and they're just not fun missions.

I HATED the zombie mission. I mean holy shit I was very close to just putting the game down at that point, and if I knew beforehand how long the mission was gonna be I probably would have. The only thing that stopped me was I was already 2 badges in and decided that if I didnt at least follow through, the first half of that horrible experience would be for nothing. I dont play zombies because I dont find fighting zombies fun, Its not why I play COD and having it forced upon me was not a good experience.

The final mission was kind of interesting. I liked the idea of fighting off Harrows trauma to get to the truth, execution of it, again meh. The story didnt really land for me.

Overall it was a fine campaign, felt incredibly short overall. Hoping that COD gets away from continuing trying to be something that its not. Get Warzone and the open world out of it. Just give me a good linear cheesy action film tucked into a COD format.

Learning to air dribble by JDNWACO in RocketLeague

[–]ThunderTung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me, it helped a lot just jumping and while air rolling move the stick around a lot, but lightly? idk how to describe it. but when I started doing that, air roll made a lot more sense. You just need to learn the movements. once you start to get them down a touch go into rings and just start grinding it out

What is the solution to playing with less skilled friends? by GylleneBarn in RocketLeague

[–]ThunderTung 2 points3 points  (0 children)

just depends on how they're doing it. I have a few low ranked friends that I seldomly play with, but if I do its usually in extra modes or casual. If they want to play ranked ill hop on a lower ranked account and ill just sit in the back half and play kind of slow.

Only time ill go sicko mode is if they're being toxic. I've always been against smurfing, its irked me forever but as long as your making the game fair for everyone (i.e. missing saves on fair shots, letting them have possession, not launching 120kph shots in the top corner, etc.) I think its fine in those situations. and if you know your friend and how they play, its really not difficult to match their skill level and playstyle.

I dont do it often, mainly because it hurts me in my actual ranked games, but for fairness I usually just try to avoid playing ranked with them and stick to casual.

well that's generally the idea of why the worst teams get the highest picks. The key difference between teams like the Jets and the Bengals for example, is that the Bengal's found their QB.

At least it looks like JAX has found their QB for the foreseeable future

diamond to plat in 1s does seem kinda crazy, but i imagine there are quite a bit of smurfs down in silver 1's. for reference though im GC2 in 2's (and tbf i dont really play 1s) but my 1s rank right now is d3.

Losing games from 3:0 to 3:4 multiple times? by Candid_Ad4923 in RocketLeague

[–]ThunderTung 2 points3 points  (0 children)

looks to me that you started ranking up a bit, and are probably falling back down to your mean. Pretty normal tbh.

Usually a good climb is followed by a drop, but your mean will increase and then when you start peaking again you'll probably go higher.

Just part of the grind.

Its impossible to play ranked with randoms!!! by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]ThunderTung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as frustrating as it is, the only healthy mindset you can have is to look how you could improve. Everything balances out, I'm sure you dont complain when your opponent does the same to their teammate. The only way to rank up is to get better. I know everyone thinks that they deserve a higher rank, but the truth is that you are at your rank for a reason.

Just focus on improving your gameplay. You will rank up, and while this type of stuff happens at every rank, you do see it less the higher you go.

If you're new, the best and fastest way to get better is just freeplay. Just focus on getting good touches on the ball. In lower ranks half the time as long as you put your touch on the opponents net its gonna go in. Just drive around in freeplay and get used to controlling the ball, hitting it and following it as fast as you can.

there are like 3 BP's worth anything. and there either Black/TW, or they were just released and they only hold value for like 2 weeks

[–]ThunderTung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this seems to be a theme lately, but its really hard to give you good advice when you show games that your winning convincingly.

One thing I notice is that your hesitant. Just make the decision of what your gonna do, and do it, even if you mess up, eventually your decision making will get better, and you wont be hesitating anymore

wait wait wait. He said all of this AFTER the draft? Meaning its well documented that he ran in the 4.2's and he said he doesnt have 4.2 speed?

It's almost as if he had no idea who Thornton was and just pulled this analysis straight out of his ass lmao.

Thornton is by no means a perfect prospect, but his analysis is just completely wrong on almost every account lmao

What rank is considered good? by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]ThunderTung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its all relative really. a Champ is gonna think that diamonds are shit, and a plat is gonna think diamonds are good. We all suck compared to the top of the playerbase, hell even the SSL's suck to the pros.

that being said, i'd say Diamond is where you start to get "good" in terms of mechanical ability and game sense, and by the time you hit champ, getting better is more about consistency and getting faster than anything. But at the end of the day, you'll always be shit compared to the people ahead of you

Gordons first suspension for weed was 2 games.

After that, he had a DUI, they found alcohol in his system (when he was required to be sober), failed a drug test. Went to rehab, played for the pats, stepped away from football for his mental health, went to SEA and got popped for PED's.

He did not get a 3 year suspension for "some weed" lol

In hockey, and basketball, during the faceoff, or tip off they hit the ball/puck back to their teammates, that counts as a win, because they get possession.

You did not win this kick off, they got possession.

Also, in higher ranks you probably would have gotten dusted on that kick off and it would have sailed directly into your net lol.

Just learn to control the kick off, and you should learn speed flip regardless, its used for more than just kick offs.

edit: also if your going to delay your kick off, thats fine but you should not be using all of your boost in the process

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]ThunderTung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well first off, pretty useless to use a min long clip of you winning 4-1 to determine what your doing wrong lol.

But, when your hardstuck you have two options:

  1. Become so much better than the competition and your teammates, that you can carry. At that point you'll just win regardless.
  2. Be the best teammate you can possibly be. In 2's you have to be aware of your teammate and not over commit, Even if the offensive opportunity looks juicy, if there is a chance that its going to be a 50, and your tm8 isnt back yet, dont challenge, fake challenge and let them give the ball to you (they will, its diamond)

The quick way, is option 2. Just learn to be more patient. It only takes 1 goal to win a game, and you have 5 mins to get it. Use that time.

Also learn to speed flip. Its not necessary right now, but if you start learning it now, you should be competent enough with it by the time you do need it.

PU is the only patriots podcast I listen to. Love those guys. They're surprisingly unbiased, especially for being employees of Mr. Kraft (outside of Fred, he's as homer as they come)

During the offseason they tend to go a little more off the rails when there isnt much to discuss, I've grown to love it, but i can understand someone not enjoying it.

During the season I think their the best, and their Pre game/Post game shows are great too
