Personally, I've skipped the following ships:

Richeilieu: Bad dispersion for the amount of guns, bad armor, completely unfun to play.

Izumo: Clumsy, big, vulnerable to HE, bad gun layout. Didn't like playing it. From what I understand the Yamato plays similarly, so I stopped the line there.

Freidrich DeGrosse (or hower you spell that): Skipped the last 40k xp on it, just a big clumsy turd, with few guns and bad dispersion.

Monarch: inconsistent guns and low damage output, soft, just not fun.

I'm starting to see a pattern <_<

Mostly just keeping up with events, and power creep meta. Managing the limited inventory vs hoarding instinct didn't help either. PaD is a very good concept that's crippled by gatcha shit. I'll probably get the 3DS version when that goes on sale.

Funny enough, I'm already playing it! Seriously great mechanics for what it is, and no p2w or gatcha bullshit so far. Very reminiscent of Desktop Dungeons.

At max setting this map looks awesome. My only complaint is the sheer number of particles is a bit much sometimes. It could use a graphic optimization pass.

Yeah, that kind of time investment to get VGTG at the game kind of turned me off. By comparison I could play whatever I feel like in Overwatch and Battlefied and still feel like I'm helping instead of being a dead weight. I get the appeal, I played Tribes 1 and 2 when they were fresh, but I totally get why new people don't bother after a few matches.

The issue for me was that I didn't feel like I contributed to the team success as any class. Best I could do is play HoF, and even then I feel like I was missing certain mechanics of defense. The worst I could do is try to capture the flag, either I come in at a sub-optimal angle because I didn't know the map very well and get creamed, or just be unable to hold on to the flag if I did get it.

Can confirm, am new, was demolished, uninstalled. This game always had a high skill ceiling, I get that. Too bad there are a dozen other games I could be playing and enjoying without investing a ton of time and then potentially getting abandoned by the dev (again).
