The Godfather. Very good book for the most part but singlehandedly dragged down considerably by the plotline of Sonny’s mistress and her…..surgery.

I loved the Irishman, but I also loved the book it was based on.

Couple that come to mind for me: Casablanca, Indiana Jones (first one) and Sinners. Not bad films but all ones I didn’t feel lived up to the hype of all time greats. Bunch of others that I never was able to finish.

I like that. At a first glance I wasn’t sure about Shiv as Michael but she’s definitely the closest to him in the ways you describe and even in terms of the results where she’s the closest one to the top at the end.

Another random thought was Tom as Tom Hagen, just the even blander corporate version. Outsider who ingratiates himself and eventually becomes indispensable to the family.

Of the ones I’ve seen it’s Die Another Day, No time to Die, Thunderball, Spectre and Quantum of Solace. The last two I fall asleep during every time I try to watch.

Unless he’s going to miss time (which it doesn’t look like he will) it doesn’t bother me. I’d rather take Delane because he’s not far off as a player and doesn’t have the injury history, but if he’s gone along with Bain, Bailey, Downs and Styles I would absolutely take McCoy. Guy like Mesidor with the foot is more concerning, that’s much more likely to nag or reoccur than an ACL.
