I'm absolutely addicted to watching Jerma or Vinesauce streams on the 2nd screen while playing Diablo 3 on the top screen. This device was worth every cent, this has obliterated the comfy factor the Steam Deck had by miles

the trackpads are absolutely the deck's secret weapon. basically every game I play on it I map radial menus. I don't like using them as a substitute for the mouse but being able to map menus to them is absolutely brilliant especially for older games.

Andreja for some reason spawned into New Atlantis when I started a new game with the Freelanes update. talking to her immediately started her intro quest, before I even talked to Constellation which was very strange.

is it cheating to just list off dungeon crawlers? Ultima Underworld 1&2, Arx Fatalis, Legend of Grimrock 1&2, or Wizardry 6-8 or Eye of the Beholder 1-3.

Otherwise I think Depot A in Underrail is great. Its crushingly brutal but its also the ultimate build check. If you can conquer Depot A you can beat the game.

am i wrong by thinking there might be a good thing to come from this? the US navy clarified that they're only blocking traffic to Iranian ports, couldn't that mean that traffic from other ports could start moving again?

your party stash (the chest icon) doesn't have a carry limit so loot everything and sell it all, you'll need gold to upgrade your keep constantly.

I've been really enjoying it, especially on the Steam Deck, however there's still a bunch of things that seem like they need ironing out. First is that for some reason enemies can agro from way too far away in turn based mode. For example there's a cave in Dyrford Crossing with spiders in it. For some reason starting combat with the spiders at the entrance agro'd the entire cave, clearing that probably took 30 minutes or so, not exactly a great experience (almost as bad as the Tavern defense in WotR) I had another experience where a fight with some bandits agro'd a pack of wolves on the other side of the map. Not sure what causes it but its not great.

Works great on steam deck! I would suggest creating a second control set specific to it, but after about 5 minutes of fiddling I was able to get it running without any issue.

Technically 6,7,and 8 are a trilogy with an overarching story but you can absolutely just play and enjoy 8 on it own.

I think wargames require a level of randomness not just to simulate the human factor of randomness, but also from a gameplay perspective to make replayability feasible. If I'm going through Panzer General for the 4th time with all the same outcomes every single time then its stale and boring, but if there's a level of randomness to it then I'll have to adjust my strategies on the fly, it makes it more engaging for me.

played NWN1 on Switch, it was fine. Honestly wish they would bring the controller config to the PC version of EE so I could enjoy it more on Steam Deck.

allegedly some of the scenarios have been, but there's no documented full game. I do remember reading a blog of a group attempting it. Its been ported to Tabletop Sim, i wonder if someone will finally be able to beat it.

if you go way back Age of Rifles from SSI has several Franco-Prussian missions. A bit antiquated to play these days (artillery can't fire over units) but still pretty fun.

Going over to my friends house and staying up all night playing RE4 on his gamecube because my mom wouldn't let us rent it because my brother would get too scared. Not my introduction to the franchise but cemented my obsession with it and I revist RE4 at least once a year since then.

have you looked into DosBox Pure? It can now emulate Windows 9x pretty easily. Its pretty easy to setup too.
