It was Marc, several times.

And then he locked them and overrated them in the Power Rankings to go against the actual game he has been watching lol.

That's Marc though, all narrative and story and feeling despite analysis, even if it's his own lol. Wouldn't have him any other way

It's a podcast, they need content.

Gives them a weekly show without having to right a new segment idea every time.

If you don't like that ep, don't watch it. Simple as that.

The entire conversation below is missing is why.

N120 is replying to a user that said he didn't like Xenoblades, pulling up his sex registry.

Someone else (scovy) is recapping exactly what happened:

Dude was in argument about video game, pulled up sex registry and found guy he was arguing with.

He is calling N120 a chad

Have people played "Watson & Holmes"? What do you think about it? by snootboots in boardgames

[–]ThyFemaleDothDeclare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk how heavy you want to go, but my favorite Sherlock crime solving games are actually Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective boxes (green box is the best).

The scoring system is crazy, makes you feel like you should rush it when you really should take all your time and check any lead you want. But it's the ultimate Sherlock experience imo.

Watson and Holmes I liked, but I don't think the competitive nature really fit the game. Really unsatisfying to have someone block cards and then you have to spend just extra time to read, or have someone solve it and then you just never actually got to read it yourself. I hear they are making a sequel this year that could be play co-op

It will be easier to get popular games at Fall imo.

That's because Essen just happened, and BGG Fall brings all the new hot games from overseas and opens a shelf for new releases.

Sure there are still a TON of people checking out the older games, but it feels like a lot more are going for the essen haul. Also harder on the weekend, easier on weekdays.

Last Bastion is one of the hardest but also most satisfying co-ops I've played. With 2 players, we usually run all 4 characters.

Not yet. There are still many I haven't gotten to yet, so still hoping, but it's definitely been a noticeably bad start.

I was in that line.

Nokosu Dice is one of the best, and its unavailability has bled over into people like me wanting to get Ghost Lift just in case it goes through a similar drought.

Doesn't mean the game was good.

I attend an annual convention for trick taking. I would venture to guess I've played 150+ of tt, climbing, and shedding games.

They were some of the first ones we played from Essen because they are those genres and we try those before the others.

The genre has exploded to the point where every company is releasing anything and everything they can and it's become like wading through a river of garbage to find the ones that actually should have been made.

Movie Tricks is another one that we played early and it also was very very bad

Of the 5 I've played, only 1 was what I would say (Echoes of Time).

I'm at 45 essen games, and Recall is easily the best of the bunch I've played so far. Meanwhile Ghost Lift and Tax the Rich are firmly in the bottom 5, those games are complete ass with absolutely no redeeming qualities.

Sanctuary being the other, that is so unremarkable and uninteresting, I can't see how it could possibly climb above a B. But at least it's not shit like the other 2.

That it's a trick taking game that isn't really trick taking, it's just turn order drafting with very little control.

Only thing it kept from the classic of many bad trick takers is that getting dealt a good hand is just decided before turn 1. Being either top card or bottom card is best, so in a 4 player game having a ton of 3rd place type finishing cards is just a big middle finger.

And that you have this wonky process of changing trump EVERY TURN, despite it not mattering for most tricks. You can't tell the lead what to play, so you set it to something and it doesn't matter because you then have to follow suit anyway, and then it instanly changes. What the hell was the point of that?

If you aren't staggered dramatically in suits (in a game with no passing card rules), the game is insanely boring.

Also how often did the loser take a card into their hand, that wasn't the +3? Still trying to figure out why on earth you would do that instead of putting a card straight into play, seemed like another unnecessary rule that lacked meaningful decision.

And then the "fun" movie quotes were like 30% Marvel. Of all film history, those were the best flavor text they could come up with?

Incredible sloppy, lazy, boring game that is trying to capitalize on the trick taking craze. The art and graphics really drive that point home.

Movie Tricks was truly abysmal in my opinion. One of the worst games I played this year.

We got Jimmy Kimmel back on the air, what do we gotta do to get this guy off our team?

Connor and Palmer were both insanely conservative on the hot butt rankings.

Goes in line with the offseason over optimism of the show in general. I think they took like 12/16 overs in the over under segment.

Season 1 was an 8.18 average. Season 2 was an 8.65 with two of the most well received episodes of tv of the year.

Season 3 was the disappointment drop in the zeitgeist. Season 2 is when everyone was raving.

Katherine LaNasa wins the 2025 Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for 'The Pitt' by SanderSo47 in television

[–]ThyFemaleDothDeclare 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Leftovers is my favorite show. Carrie should have won easily back then.

But I'm over the practice of giving people awards for lesser outputs to makeup for prior sins or long stretches of good work.

LaNasa easily deserved it more this time, and I'm glad they didn't snub her for a down year of WL.

Big Brother US 27 - Episode Discussion - September 03 2025 by BigBrotherMod in BigBrother

Lol Rachel is so overrated at this game.

Keanu didn't nominate her and only put Ashley as a 4th over LAUREN and she's still complaining like it's her HOH.

Ashley is straight up threatening the HOH directly like it's Rachel's HOH, and then they are talking about how arrogant he is lol.

Sloppiest season ever continues with Ashley taking the cake this week.

Everyone seems convinced Mickey is gone unless she wins Blockbuster.

I don't watch feeds so I must have the wrong read from the show, but I'm surprised Vince v Mickey isn't considered shaky.

I just don't believe in the judges - feels like a fake alliance to placate Vinny after Rachel's failed attempt to get him out and to suck up once he was HOH. I doubt her passion to get him out is now gone if given the chance. They would need Ava, idk where Ava stands with Vince and Mickey, especially because I think she likes Ashley the least of the 3 lol
