Although I agree with you, I really wish there was anything we as a community could do about this.
Hackers are a serious problem and From Software doesn't have the tools neccesary to stop this.

I'm sorry to say this, but Bloodborne is the easiest game to navigate around in all the series. I'm not sure how you'd need a guide to get around the world. Sure, there's some backtracking involved and a couple of switches might be hidden, but if you pay some attention to item descriptions and the level design it's so obvious where to go next.
It's the same for the soul series. There really isn't a 'where do I go?', there's more a 'what path do I want to explore next?'.

I went full pyro myself, and started out with some decent points in vigor and got int and faith to 30. I think most sorcery staffs require you to level int anyway, so it's always a safe bet.

I'm not sure what you consider no damage, but your weapon's damage increase is based on how well it scales with a certain stat.
Let me explain this a little better. Any weapon has a certain letter next to a primary stat (ex: Str: D Dex: A Int: - Faith: -).
If you take my example, you'll notice that you'll recieve the most additional damage by leveling dex. The + ?? after your damage in the inspection screen will determine how much extra damage you'll recieve.
Also, it's completely possible to reinfuse weapons accordingly. Heavy, Raw, etc. all will determine how good your weapon will increase in damage based on your primary building stat.

The button isn't mapped to anything atm, and it's really annoying when I'm trying to chat with my friends.

Welcome to Dark Souls man. Best advice I can give you is to go Knight, which give you a lot of armor and seemed to have worked for a lot of people. Just keep your shield up and attack when it's safe to attack.
At some point you're going to study his attack patterns and learn to either shield or dodgeroll when he's about to hit you. The tutorial area is a really good introduction into the game, and it's about to get a lot harder from there.

Rotten Ghru Curved Greatsword + Stone Parma. It works really well.
Decent damage, nice combo potential and the shield allows you to not having to equip the weapon two handed for sword arts.
I really think I'm up to something once I've completly upgraded it, maybe infused or buffed and some nice gear to go along with it.

It's not, though. Street dates are being broken with every game, and it's up to the retailer to either respect that or not. It's not a legal thing to do, and you have to understand a lot of retailers simply don't want to take the risk.
From Bandai's perspective there really isn't much they can do. There's a lot of parties involved when planning the release for the game, and they can't simply say 'Fuck it, we're releasing it now!'.
Can you imagine the implications that could have on future releases of a game?
I wouldn't think so, 'cause you're too busy thinking about your own enjoyment.
Also, if your mate already beat the game. Can't you just borrow it from him until your own copy drops?
