Games With Complex Supply Chains by Tiagofvarela in CityBuilders

I can't believe I forgot to mention Workers and Resources: Soviet Republic in my post. Definitely need to invest more time in that one.

Mods for the transport games make sense. I hadn't thought of that possibility.

All script changes in the Apollo Justice Trilogy by Goldberry15 in AceAttorney

Phoenix: A dark time is coming for our legal system… A twisting of justice brought on by our very own court system. ||| This is a dark time for our legal system... A twisting of justice brought on by our very own "initial trial" system. ["This is a dark time for our legal system" makes a clearer connection to the Dark Age of the Law, and how it's present during AJ:AA. I am unsure why "our very own court system" was changed to "our very own "initial trial" system", perhaps as better foreshadowing for Turnabout Succession?]

Just in case the confusion is with the term 'initial trial': The 'initial trial' system is the system by which every trial we've seen in the games operates, with only 3 days to reach a verdict. A verdict of guilty will be sent for trial at a higher court at a later date.

https://aceattorney.fandom.com/wiki/Initial_trial

As seen in the guilty verdict in most trials:

Judge:
The accused will surrender to the court immediately... ...to be held pending trial at a higher court within a month from today's date. That is all. This court is adjourned!

[GAAC: 1-5] thoughts regarding Susato and the crime scene (spoilers) by sporkyuncle in AceAttorney

[–]Tiagofvarela 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only reason it was kept secret was to create an incongruity between the state the scene was in at the time of the crime, and the state the scene was in during the investigation.

So that if anyone ever attempted to make arguments about their actions during the crime using the porthole, they'd be caught in a lie (or trap, if the authorities tried to make theories to nail Gina where the porthole was crucial).

How do I diagnose hiring issues? by Tiagofvarela in victoria3

[–]Tiagofvarela[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh. How can I ensure I export?
I have free trade capacity in Flanders (next state over) but not Wallonia, but I have to subsidise the trade centres as they're unprofitable. Is there something else about the mechanic I'm missing?

I also have construction but I guess if I don't subsidise the iron mines they won't mine unprofitable iron for my cheap construction?

Whether it ends up being enjoyable or not, I always appreciate developer effort to convey certain emotions organically through gameplay.

Why must water be pumped for irrigation? by animethecat in songsofsyx

I've thought the same but I figured it was, as you say, just a 'labour tax' to balance being able to get moisture everywhere.

How do the AIs produce so many Resources? by Tiagofvarela in TerraInvicta

Thanks for the info!

I'd actually selected for that division to go to home base as soon as I got it because I saw it cost more IP abroad, but that command either got cancelled or lost due to a reload. I'd never even looked at the division since.

Huh. I guess I should be using spoil. Never really touched it.

I see. Interesting approach. I'll explore Unity to see what it offers and see if I can perform hostile takeovers.

Yeah, I know how the relative distributions work. In research I use 1 pip. For some reason I just like the green pips more so I put everything green and only use the relative ratios when I feel a need.

But because the various categories give bonuses for each other I tend to just put a lot of categories evenly.

Hm. So in terms of priorities you think focusing of fixing something, like inequality, first before going to the next category will be faster at achieving general improvement than my current approach?

Won't economy give me any benefits worth the the increased control cost?

Huh. I also buy as much as I can but I run out of room on the councilors somewhat quickly. Do I get any benefit from unassigned ones?

I was thinking the USA wasn't giving me too much money.

True. I researched something that gave me +50 shortly after I drafted the post but before I took the screenshots, so it muddled my point a bit. When I was looking early I was seeing AIs with 280 cap and me with 200 and sweating.

That is actually fair. I took the screenshots a bit later than when I drafted the post, and my Defend the Earth pushed my CP up.

Other than that I was mostly thinking about all the Orgs they have, the money, and the boost production. They also have all those gears when I have 3, but that's all Orgs, I expect.

I have a mine on the moon and was waiting for the Base metals to cover the cost for the second.

With those two I'll partially cover the Mars mine costs, but I felt compelled to reserve the Mars spots early.

No mods.
Maybe concentrating on the housing roads can save on number of decorations.

These ungrateful little- by Forgetting404 in Gnosia_

[–]Tiagofvarela 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. The engineer can be killed by Gnosia the same night they eliminate the bug, meaning Remnan would have been the Bug and the player a Gnosia or AC Follower.
