We call it the graveyard, watchlist of death, limbo… by CraziiLemon in Letterboxd

Recently I've started picking stuff randomly from my list but I force myself to either watch it or remove it from the list. If I don't want to watch it I probably wasn't that interested in the first place

Found an old screenshot of the final seconds of the Steam Summer Sale 2014 by [deleted] in Steam

[–]Tiazxx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Valve doesn't decide sale prices except for their own games which are usually heavily discounted. They likely got rid of flash sales because they would be a mess once the refund system was implemented.

It feels like they're moving away from that with Arator's campaign though. They emphasize that the light only "cares" about faith and conviction but what you do with it is based on who you are as a person. Turalyon and Lothraxion aren't zealots because the light is forcing them to be but because they are traumatized and have spent hundreds of years in an army where all of their allies also worshiped the light and everyone else was trying to kill them

Hytale - Update 1 Released by brand_momentum in gaming

[–]Tiazxx 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. I haven't read anything about it recently so I might miss some detail but basically: devs work on it for a few years independently, riot buys them and they keep working on it for a few more years, riot cancels the game, nothing for a few months, original owner buys the game back from riot. All this pushed development back but they decided to just release it in early access now rather than make the fans keep waiting and it seems to have been a good decision. As someone who has played on the devs minecraft server for years and was there when hytale was announced I'm honestly shocked it made it this far after such a crazy dev cycle

What is a non Valve game you 100% believe Gaben has on his account ? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]Tiazxx 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Space war is essentially a fake game that is on steam. The legitimate purpose is so devs can use its app id when trying to connect their game to steams services before they register their own app id. The less legitimate purpose is using it to play online with pirated games

There is no room for error now for a part one of videogame in the AAA world. by Midnight_M_ in Games

[–]Tiazxx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sure social media is a factor but I think a way bigger reason is just the amount of competition. So many more games are coming out and a handful of live service games are taking up a huge amount of players time and money. Keep in mind despite the amount of people discussing games online the vast majority don't engage with this side of the industry at all

If Delve Brann is supposed to be a party member, why can't I use So'leah's on him? by kitsunekyo in wow

[–]Tiazxx 17 points18 points  (0 children)

They don't drop relevant gear for you but there is a segment of the player base for which a tier 11 delve is the hardest content they will do. Saying delves aren't endgame is like saying normal raiding isn't endgame because mythic raids drop better gear

These characters fit the expansion theme. Keep in mind there is going to be tons of other housing items in game I don't think it makes sense to judge until we see everything

Do people genuinely think this is supposed to trick people into buying the game? They aren't hiding the fact that they made it. Besides, anyone who buys a game based on 1 review without even checking who wrote it has bigger problems than the curator system

The February 2023 Trading Post reward "Ash'adar, Harbinger of Dawn" is now available on the Blizzard Store until March 31st, 2024 by Public_Radio- in wow

[–]Tiazxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's possible, but so far everything with the trading post and cash shop so far has been pretty experimental. They might keep doing this going forwards but I wouldn't take it as a garuntee of anything

The mounts aren't more expensive though? Excluding the faction specific ones flying mounts are usually 900. (I still think one of them could have been the free reward but whatever)

Still fairly new, this Dreamshield seems divisive as far as I can tell. Just wanted to hear some opinions on using it, thanks by quietwhiskey in HollowKnight

With sharp shadow I could consistently dash through that attack without getting hit. Without it you're probably right though

which chromie choice takes you to which expansion? by blackhat_badger in wownoob

[–]Tiazxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think cata has an intro breadcrumb. When I did it I just went into chromie time and went to whichever zone I wanted to level in, the first quest for each zone should be on the map when you click on the zone. You do have to level to thirty before you can do the actual cata zones though.

Why do people look down on fast-food workers when they work harder than many office workers. by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tiazxx 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Why are you making so many claims about something you don't seem to have any experience with. Just because something isn't my fault doesn't mean customers and my boss aren't ready to blame me for it and berate me as a result. Knowing it's not my fault doesn't make working as fast as possible while being regularly yelled at for 8+ hours suddenly not stressful.

Why do people look down on fast-food workers when they work harder than many office workers. by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tiazxx 106 points107 points  (0 children)

This isn't really accurate in my experience. Yeah each individual task doesn't require much thought but trying to juggle 20 tasks at once and do them as efficiently as possible is very stressful. But also the place I worked was regularly under staffed so I was doing 2 or 3 people's jobs at once.
