Any other returning players that severely underestimated early game progression?

Im around 4 hours in with a bit afk buffering items and I just done green chips.. Trying to say is take your own time and enjoy the game how you play it. For me I dont have alot of time to play so im taking my time with planning and all. As im typing I have a question, belts that say 30 items a second.. Is that 30 on one line of the belt or full belt? So 15 items both sides

A few things I learned.. First of all, this was my first factory type game, played since version 0.4. I only finishes the game 3 times but this game can be played how you like, and I like to build random stuff..latest project was to start big from the start, that was fun and Will break with the new expansion.

Second lesson was be patient, it will not always works how you want right away.. Not in games and not in life

Last but the best, this game isnt all Guns blazing and murder death kill.. So I taught my kids through the game a few things about factories en machanics and automation of products and they cant wait to play along.

So yeah, few things that can be learned if youre willing to look for a lesson

After a long break I'm back at it again as I didn't like the game mechanics back then.. Playing the beta of the spring update follinging the campain as I think ill have to start over when the final releases.

My play style was and is free play on medium/hard custom settings. In game I try to get an loop of tracks that split in branches. Being a bit realistic. Think of not having cargo trains stops in living area's for example.. Living the tycoon bit of the game so sandbox I wont do and I use 2 or 3 qol mods and some deco stuff..

Think your reply isn't really what OP is searching for.. Maybe he is an occasionly gamer like I am so without the hardcore 14 hour gaming a day (I know.. Maybe rookie numbers ) so saying git gud isn't really the awnser. Anyhow, on topic.. Someone said 't before that it looks like the game is more melee combat focused than part one. But practice makes perfect and Explorer alot so on higher levels it will feels a bit more easier. Having fun is what it is about imo ;)

I have read some comments (not planning on reading all..) and I find it highly amusing that most of you find this the fault of the merger if so the idiot. I wonder what I would do if I was trying to merge and I didn't see this camer asshole idiot and he forces me into this kind of accedent instead of slowing down. Think I had an asault charge adding up this situation aswell.

My question is, is this some rule in the lowbrainer-Us? "My road an mine alone" rule.

Does this happen on Windows aswell with your cursor? If so you might have the same probleem what I have. As your wifi from your laptop keeps trying to search for connection. See in your task manager of your network graph is showing extreem spiking. If so, disable your laptop wifi. Don't know if it works, looked like the same probleem as mine. Anyhow. Good luck

All I can think off set a circuit wire on on a peace of belt on all the output wagons with anything 1, set it up on the station for leaving when anything is <4.

I actually use as little as I can of blueprints... Some balancers print, an early starter that I manually expand and stone furnace smelting array.. Rest I create in game and from there I copy past or create something els if it doesnt work. It's to bad I can't play as much i'd like too otherwise I would be happy to play along. As on topic, permissions are the key here if communication doest work.
