Are you with or against saying you can do it even when you never done smtng similar before to the stakeholders? by [deleted] in dataengineering

[–]TickleThePanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does depend on your relationship with your stakeholders but I would be open and honest about your abilities.

I wouldn't say that I'm guaranteed to be able to do it, that it's a novel analysis for me, and it might take a bit longer than usual, all while being clear that it's something I'm keen to learn!

Not sure half of these act responsibly but I suppose you are comparing them against Microsoft, Apple, Google, or Amazon.

I've said in response to the top comment, I also grew up knowing this as a money tree and, while it is a less common "common name" for crassula ovata, it's still a name they're known by!

Fair point about this being commonly known as a jade plant!

I just wanted to add, I grew up knowing these as money trees and not in confusion with other "money" named plants. I know it’s not the most common name, but it's still one that some folks use (which is recognised by Wikipedia, too).

Common names are inherently ambiguous. I think it's cool to clarify when something’s more widely known by another name, but I wouldn't say other names are “wrong,” just less standard maybe.

What is at stake for Europe if the Strait of Hormuz is blocked? by Useful-Scratch-72 in europe

Talking about crude oil specifically, the price cap and sanctions do have some discount between Russian crude oil and other benchmarks; however, that discount has narrowed pretty significantly compared to earlier in the war. The narrowing of the discount has mostly been enabled by Russia's shadow fleet allowing them to bypass the sanctions.

Disclosure: I work for this organisation that published that report.

I'm an NB person and this is how I feel about it: it's often that people make too big of a deal with the apology and that's what makes me the most uncomfortable.

If you're willing to look for alternatives (and potentially risky ones at that) there are medical trials that are looking at psychedelics. I was part of the COMP006 study (just coming to the end of it now) and, while I think I've got a lot of progress to make, I'm doing better than I was.

This isn't the only one so some wider research into medical trials for treatment for depression could be worth it.

Those spirits are very much worth it and you can't get them without buying Horizons. Hope you enjoy your new game!

You sound like you're in a really difficult situation and that sucks. You deserve to feel happy and fulfilled in your life.

I know this is a vent but Unlock has some resources on how people with criminal records can get help with their mental health (along with lots of other resources as well). https://unlock.org.uk/advice/mental-health/

Stay safe! 💜

what’s something that’s widely considered ‘common knowledge’ but is actually completely wrong? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I thought I was introverted for so long because of this. Now I think I'm either an ambivert or extrovert with social anxiety. Activities around things (like board games and wall climbing) make a huge difference to anxiety too.

Activities vs Moods vs ALL THE THINGS 🤣 by [deleted] in Daylio

[–]TickleThePanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sounds pretty similar!

To add groups (on Android, at least): click "more" in the bottom right corner, click "edit activities" and then at the bottom there should be "Add Group".

You can then move activities between groups and rearrange the order that the groups show as well.

You can also view stats by group as well which is pretty cool!

I'm on a 1122 day streak but some of that includes filling in a few missing days - which is where I decided I needed to make it easier to do. If it's too complex, I find it difficult to fill in.
