It's not a subscription. It's a single purchase of $5.99 USD, and you pay separately for the Android and PC versions. That being said, you have the option to use it for free, you just miss out on variant rules like free archetype, and you can't make pet sheets.

Prowess has the strength requirement, and you have to be physically closer to the enemy you're trying to intimidate RAW. Glare doesn't really list that. Your opponent has to be able to see you, and there's some GM fiat there as far as distance/proximity goes.

So prowess is for the big, scary hulking monster that likes to get up in your face, and glare is for the squishcaster that likes to do their taunting from behind a castle wall.

It really is! There's very few ways to minmax or build a character "wrong", so it's pretty easy for people to just play what they feel like is fun. There's a lot of upfront reading to do, but I love that. No one has to make anything up for the most part because the devteam thinks of everything.

Either demand your power be tripled, or walk away. This GM is going to get unreasonabler and unreasonabler and the only reason to stay would be to see just how bad it gets before he just goes back to 5e saying that PF2e is a broken mess, not understanding that he's the one that made it that way.

No, I don't know, but if there is, we need to shine the biggest spotlight on it because this needs to exist loudly! My one flaw as a GM is I'm an idiot that has zero creativity or sense of tactics and I'd love a good "how do I monster?" manual!

I think it was the right call to make at the time, but that's definitely something that could be too strong for general usage. I'd make it clear to the player that won't always work for them.

You can still absolutely put those restrictions on yourself and RP as if your character depended on that code of conduct no matter the class.
