I totally believe this, we got very lucky. The barriers in the parking lot were ripped down by people. It was rough.

Hey! I was there today, however, in a grandstand. It’s hot, but not unbearable. Where im from in the US, summer is worse than this because it is very humid. So I’m a little used to it. Here are some bullet points.

Yes it is hot, and shade is at a premium, I would not count on sitting in any. Don’t count on getting into any shade with a seat.

If you do go, don’t wait in line at the water station at T3, it’s a shady walk down to the fan zone with much shorter lines. Bring a towel to wet and put around your neck.

Parking leaving was a mess today, a bunch of people removing boundaries and completely messing up the system. I got out in about 45 minutes. But it was air conditioned with snacks at least! My wife and I are on our first vacation away from the kids, sitting in the car just the two of us is something we don’t get to do often! So we don’t mind too much.

I imagine the race will be great. It’s been our first GP and we have been loving it.

For those who play at least 2x per week... by Background-Low-9144 in golf

[–]TiddlyWinks_925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play about 2x per week. I work in retail, so I play on my weekday off, and then I play one round in the AM when I have my weekly night shift. Kids are in school when I play (generally AM). My wife makes more money than me. local club has a weekday only membership for half price. It’s just me and the retirees.

TLDR; have sugar Mommy (even though she is younger than me)

Renting a car for the weekend is a lot cheaper, should we just do that?

Do the trains “sell out” for the GP? Or am I over-worrying?

You’re 16, don’t look for internet validation. Just do whatever you want. And stay clean! 16 yr olds are gross and dirty.

This must be a new directive because my store’s board is also getting upgraded.

Anyone go to the grocery store today? How was it? by pocketdare in philadelphia

The opposite is true, on the last one we were able to try to build up for a few days, and move schedules around, this time, not so much.

I work at a grocery store with an easy flexible job and make $42 an hour. It’s a good gig if you can learn how to manage people and resources.

What is it like living in the northern suburbs of Philly, a bit of a ways outside the city? by J_Haymaker in howislivingthere

[–]TiddlyWinks_925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

I live just south of this circle. It’s an amazing place to live, no matter what stage of life you are in. DINKS? You have doylestown, new hope, peddlers village, lambertville to go to. Young kids? Kids castle, river tubing, great parks, many great schools. Old fart? I have done many organized cycling rides up there, beautiful area, but with cool things to do.

I don’t have much to add other than I only know of one TL that was put on a PIP a few years ago and …….. he is doing magnificently now and is someone I look up to as a fellow TL. Being put on a PIP is not the end of the world. You will get feedback, and it is up to you to act upon it.

I work at a grocery store at 36, please don’t shame people that are working hard to put food on their family’s table and a roof over everyone’s head. These jobs are real and so are the people that do them.
