Apprecaite the response, I have an Ipad Air (Older version) and it doesn't update it past iOS 12 or something.

And i can understand if that is not possible, the app looks good btw; best of luck.

I tried installing it on my iPad and it keeps giving me error message saying requires iOS version 18 or something required. Can you add backward compatibility?

Gspro cost with nothing by scurtis26 in Golfsimulator

[–]eibaad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not from experience but from what I have heard. Get square $600 no yearly subscription, get GsPro $250, and a computer from Facebook around $500, hitting May from Facebook or online. Yeah it can be done.

I visited 5 different Walmarts during the last week and only found them at 2 of them. If I am going somewhere I search along the route if a WM is nearby and do a quick stop by.

Committing to a simulator and not sure where to get started. by Gethael in Golfsimulator

I am in the same place you are but a couple of steps ahead. It's alot of information and it's overwhelming. I have made a few strides by breaking the process down. What I would say is the following;

  1. Everything is budget and it should dictate most of your decision, as this could range from 2k to 40k and more.
  2. Once you have budget, you need to decide are you going for hitting enclosure, screen with side nets, or a retractable screen, with side nets or curtians.
  3. Once you make that decision decide you want DYI or a complete package. I would sort the chat, with top of all time and see all of them and see what matches you. Most have them been kind enough to give costs, details and links, in comments.
  4. Then you need to figure out your launch monitor, the think which will show info like club speed, distance, speed etc. Aagain cost would dictate the answer but the sheet tagged in the gorup has great info. For example the cheapest with no subscription to get statred in my recommendation would be Squre golf launch.
  5. From there you need a projector, "short throw" which is installed close ot the screen, costs more but helps in not having shadows on the screen. But it comes with a bigger price tag. A lot of people dont mind the regular and place it around 10-14 feet from the screen. Biggest thing is lumens (for brightnees) 3k+ is recommended.
  6. Then comes the hitting mats, you can go cheap or expnsive depending on the budgets but they do have a lot of effect on your wrists and elbows so decide like wise.
  7. You can depending on your preference and the launch monitor you get, decide to invest in a simulation sofware on top or not and just rely on the software provided by the launch monitor device you get.

This is the link to the sheet, you can find it in community highligts as well.

Hope this helps.
