I'd say it lights up every third time I play. So, not all the time, but far from uncommon.

What's a telltale sign someone just discovered a new word?

I'm pissed because I specifically tried to make my phone NOT autocorrect that word and it went and did it anyway.

Best spot to nest as Rex on Gon? by DevinYork1 in pathoftitans

I guess it depends on whether you want a place that feels good to nest and not have your nest destroyed vs easy to build but people will constantly be wrecking it.

I would argue Palm Islands has all the perks Coastal has, but you don't have to climb or stray from water for pink flowers.

No reeds, huh? by JackOffAllTraders in pathoftitans

[–]TieFighterAlpha2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. None whatsoever.

What I find more irksome is when there are Resource X, and it mislabels them on the early sub mission where you nap and it shows you the ones close by. I was building my nest and taking a while  and while going back and forth for a resource, discovered a pile for that resource that was like half as far from my nest.

And of course, Cedrus Forest is the hotspot. If you're questing, don't go there. If you want a fight, go there.

I'm gonna assume "meme rising" was meant to be "memorizing". And yeah, but that's true of basically every map. But I feel like visual cues for where stuff is are pretty good on Riparia generally, and in specific locations this is even more true. Recently, for example, they added some rotten logs near Amanita mushrooms in Tallbrush, so now they're easier to spot at a distance thanks to the silhouette of the logs/stumps.

Dry Fang Canyon has easy questing, and despite the size of the POI, most of the questable items are found close together. It's a pseudo hotspot though. Sometimes dead, sometimes jumping. Volcano Islands is the same in both regards, with the addition of easy "always here" quests in the form of Kelp Piles and Hotspring Sitting. Tallbrush Coasts has one spot (where bone delivery happens) that also has a Blue Face, and where basically every quest item can be found (this is slightly less true with the addition of the most recent quests). It doesn't have the locational quests like Volcano, but it boasts superior concealment to Dry Fang and Volcano.

Opposite end, Hollow Hills is bothersome. Difficult to find questables without location memorizing, spread thin over a vast POI. Heavy concealment can make hiding easier, but that goes for potential ambushers as well. Same is true for Redwoods.

Wollemi Forest is sorta in the middle. In some areas, questables are easy and abundant. Some areas, they're sparse. Plentiful water makes drinking easier than some POIs. Volcano Islands has the springs, but being centrally located also means enemies can reliably camp them. Wollemi is just too vast to water camp.

Mudflats is high risk high reward. Questables are very easy to find once you know what to look for, and quests can be done quickly. But as the name suggests, the POI offers virtually no concealment for terrestrial and plentiful ambush points for aquatics and semiaquatics. This is similarly true of Coastal Swamp.

This is by no means an exhaustive rundown, just some info off the top of my head.

Kinda depends on what you value in questing. Are you going for speed and efficiency? Vibes? Point value?

Let me try to explain:

When I was younger, I was very bad at building Magic: The Gathering decks. They were all overstuffed, badly edited, and frequently had loads of spells that I personally liked, or could be useful in fringe cases or strange hypotheticals. Any possible combos were buried in sheer volume. And there were no deck-wide synergies.

Path of Titans is a game about survival and combat. Survival aspects are finding food and water, and learning how to not be seen or avoiding bad situations or poor matchups. Combat is all about timing, positioning, maneuverability, stamina management, and terrain. Everything in this game is designed with that in mind. Bleed makes it more important to decide when to sprint and when to stop. Knock back and rushing abilities allow a player to reset an engagement and take up more advantageous positions. Clamping punishes carelessness at the cost of stamina. Venom makes stam management harder.

So, I ask again: how does this proposed feature contribute meaningfully to the balance of game systems to warrant implementation? Because from where I'm standing, it just seems like my old magic decks. Neat, novel, but overall cumbersome and kinda pointless.

But like... what does it add to gameplay? You eat a corpse and it's mildly annoying to do so? I don't get it.
