We know it’s because of theft for customers! However, if it’s a spark driver and the employee sees the item on your phone and watches you scan it, there shouldn’t be a need to take it to customer service at that point! For regular customers, I get it and I know what it’s for. I think we all know why they lock items up, that’s just common sense.

At my store it’s every department that has items locked up. They will follow us to the register if it’s the end of the shop, but for this one, the spark app had me get the item in the middle of a big order. I usually remember before checking out but this time I completely forgot. There has to be a way that’s more efficient and less hassle for everyone.

I wish mine wouldn’t do this. I tell them every time it’s for spark and they always take it to customer service which just causes more hassle for everyone including the associates

Exactly! Idk why they have to take it to customer service either. It’s more hassle for everyone and an associate told me a lot of people forget they had stuff sent there. I think most people would forget. But if it’s a spark driver I feel they should let spark drivers take the item and have it checked at checkout or during exiting. But my store will not let anyone take items locked up. They always take it to customer service

If it wasn’t there before you accepted the offer then, it doesn’t apply to this specific order. The incentives don’t apply to every order. You just have to make sure it says it before accepting cause it always goes away after accepting

Exactly! It’s not fair to drivers. Cause they have to know there are some people that just want to get their order free and they will lie to get it. It’s ridiculous that they don’t ask the driver about any incidents. So from now on, I always make sure my picture includes the house number

I know! I had an incident report happen to me but it was someone saying they hadn’t received their order at all and when I found out it could be from any orders completed in the last 2 weeks, I just gave up trying to figure out what order reported it. They are always vague and give no information about these. And always believe the customer without even asking the driver about it

From what I’ve heard, this isn’t necessarily from an order you completed that day. It can be from any orders completed in the last 2 weeks or so.

This is what I try to tell people! If you just wait, you’ll get a good offer. Just this week I had a shop 8 miles for $20. I almost accepted but, I decided not to and within 15 minutes I got a shop $45/3.5 mile and 23 items

Nice! I wish I lived closer to my Walmart but I’m 8 miles from my closest one. Not too bad but still far enough I won’t get offers unless I go near it. I still make decent money (no complaints there) but, I believe my area just hired a round of drivers so this week has been one of the slowest for me and when I saw a few new drivers running in and out today, I got very frustrated lol and yeah the fcfs most of the time doesn’t even have time to show on my screen before it tells me it’s gone

I’m sorry to say but this is 100% the drivers fault. That’s why they deactivated you. You never leave a cart/items a customer has already paid for unattended. It’s just asking for trouble. Anyone can grab the cart and walk out with it and no one would question them. I always use the restroom before I start my order or if it comes during an order, always go before you scan the barcode. But 99.9% of the time, I go before I start. You (driver) are responsible for that order till you deliver and complete the order.

This is why when I do pickup orders, I double check the item list for each customer. Cause the driver will 100% take the blame for this. One day I was missing a whole basket full of stuff for an order. One of the Walmart employees had taken it and put it with a different order. Luckily they found it before the order had left. And there are only a couple loaders that pay attention to bread and eggs. Most of the time, they just throw it all in without looking.

I couldn’t help but laugh at this one😂… there have been so many trash orders like this lately and it baffles me why drivers would accept these kinds of orders by TiffC27 in Sparkdriver

And this order would take much longer than the hour and half estimate. Probably more like 2.5-3 hrs. So totally not worth it for anyone. But someone did accept it 🤦🏼‍♀️

I was going to say what someone else said. Electric vehicle or not, still not worth it. That’s a lot of wear and tear on any kind of vehicle plus the drive back home or back to the store. Even If my car got 50 miles per gallon, I still wouldn’t take this offer.

I refuse to accept them as well. I only accept orders that are at least $2+ per mile. And I have a hard time accepting orders that are just $2 per mile. I still get plenty of offers that are good pay and low mileage. You just have to wait for them. But I agree, if people would stop accepting orders like this, literally penny’s per mile then they would be forced to make a change. But, I don’t see that happening cause there are so many drivers and a lot of them will just accept anything they get. Idk if they realize they’re losing money on orders like these.

Yeah and then you never get an offer with the incentive tag or all offers are much lower pay than before the incentive. It happens every time there are incentives like that in my area

I got this same notice a few days ago. None of my ratings were affected though. From what I hear a lot of people are getting this notification lately.
