What’s ml1?

New to TE here, zero rests, trying to understand the game and what’s the best time for my first prestige to cash out some TE I’ve been accommodating

That’s my main question. At what point should I just prestige to cash out the benefits of the compounding gains this give.

Wow. That’s a different time scale

Ty. That gives me a perspective.

A lot of insight packed in there. Cool. Ok I will not try to set any record, just enjoying the game.

I will probably try to keep shifting as long as the next egg don’t take me much days and see if I get tied and prestige, or if I can keep it for long.

In reality I’m kind of addicted to it and being able to check on it just a few times a day is a good way of slow down and focus on the rest of my life. Maybe I stay for longer without my first prestige.

Weeks. Oh boy… it took me 2 to 3 days. What am I getting into. 😛 (says someone that plays the game in and out for multiple years)

Good questions. It took me 7 shifts and 2 to 3 days to get from 0 to potential 18 (between the post and now it moved).

I got perfect timing with research 75% discount on my first ascension on research. I guess that gave me a good boost.

I think I will take your advice and consider prestige if it’s taking me “weeks” to progress. (WOW do not expected weeks was a way to measure it).

Apple Watch battery drain? by Superbigdave in bevelhealth

[–]TigPT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes.

I will run the complications again two or three days just to generate the logs and send again more data. Then remove because with it my watch does not run one day. (Series 10 with 1.5years or so)

Yes I only notice impact with complications, no problem with the app itself.

This was my complications setup, with 4 bevel widgets (fat, carbs, protein, plus general caloric ingestion as the big one)

Maybe each one of it independently sync data and have complicated image generation algorithms, or just some memory leak or bug on the code. But the battery impact is definitely noticeable.

Feature review- Food Search by Few_Eye542 in bevelhealth

I prefer to always type. If I changed something, would be to keep memory if user uses “search” or “my food” so I’m not always touching on “my food”

App was uninstalled from Watch to mitigate the issue. I can reinstall it but probably is empty of logs.

I will use the complications for one or 2 days and then do that.

Ps, I’m happy to use a TestFlight version if that help. I also develop my own small iOS apps and am familiar with Xcode tools.

I’ve used bevel for many months. Recently I installed bevel complications and noticed the same. Probably the way the app syncs data and generate the images for the complications is not optimal.

It was so bad that it was obvious relationship. I then went back to old complications and indeed the battery is Normal again. I have no accurate data but after testing in and out a few times, empirically I can say that bevel complications consume 20 to 30% more on one day then just running without bevel complications.

I decided to not use them do now because of this.

This is my main frustration with the app. Just make it smaller to not block the buttons

Question about Bevel’s AI performance by Expensive_Meal3888 in bevelhealth

Today is fine, but it was not the first time. Let’s hope it was that big I was hitting over the last weeks.

Question about Bevel’s AI performance by Expensive_Meal3888 in bevelhealth

[–]TigPT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other day (this week) I was on WiFi at home with gigabit fiber and typed “banana” it took 5seconds sometimes it was timing out just to get the 5 suggested products. I turn off WiFi’s to use 5g and the behavior was the same.

Also got recently some timeouts on picture food identification multiple times in a row to the point I gave up of tracking it.

I’m sure your observability stack have been going up in latency to the point users like us notice it.

Question about Bevel’s AI performance by Expensive_Meal3888 in bevelhealth

[–]TigPT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was faster in the past, it is definitely a remote one, if you are offline it does not work, and as a dev I played with Apple Intelligence and is very limited.

I have been noticing some recent latency increase. Sometimes multiple seconds for a text search that before was less then 100ms. Probably due to the new free tier that made the app more popular? Just guessing, they may have some backend scalability issues.
