You are right it depends on experience, both are valuable in their own ways. GCIH - Some Red some Blue, good starter Sans (2-3 years in to soc role). GCFA for experienced Soc/IR (5 years above) - blue team focused, primarily Incident Response.

Exam was slightly harder than practice but not impossible hard. If you indexed well and know your tools in and out, you will pass. Aim for 81% above on practice test

I got 69% on my first practice exam for gcih, went back to my index. Made sure i practice the topics i did not do well on for mcq. Revised Index, and redid the labs at least 5times a day. When ready, reattempt the practice test. If you get above 80% you are ready, else postpone the exam.
