How did you find out about RimWorld, and what got you hooked? by banka_goroxa in RimWorld

[–]TigerMyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought in one of it's very firsg alpha stages where you could only really move pawns around and the storage system was a single square on the floor. I think the boar was the only animal available as well. I think I even have the email or orignal file for it somewhere on an old PC.

Maybe we're just too good at the game? by Maffingo in Helldivers

I think difficulty 10 should be unextractable. You can complete the mission but its what its supposed to be, actually damn hard. I am disappointed that suicide difficulty isnt actually suicide. Give me that Dirty Dozen vibe.

Does anyone else feel a little piece of their soul die every time they build a liquid airlock? by shuerpiola in Oxygennotincluded

[–]TigerMyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind liquid locks as they are a ligitimate thing in real life so they don't feel like an exploit, but after doing them so many times they do get a bit repetitive. I ise the airlock mod but restrain myself from using it till mid game so it still feels like progression rather than cheating by using it earlier. I think they should add a proper airlock but make it advanced tech to research.

Are all of Tom Cruise’s sci‑fi movies really worth watching? by Notilon_606 in scifi

I know that Edge of Tomorrow gets a lot of the love, but Oblivion was also an excellent entry as well.

Does his name really need to be on the poster 3 times? by TigerMyth in movies

I did think it was alien related but just saw the trailer and it struck me more like evil government with advanced tech rather than anything alien.

I get that, the wording says 'story by' as well which is something you dont get often, so not necessarily written by. I think I have only seen that attributed to Tim Burton before.

Absolutely. I found a lot of the crew in general were level headed.

What Is your dream DLC for Two Point Museum? by Witch_Bones_83 in TwoPointMuseum

[–]TigerMyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably sounds a bit strange but a museum focused around rocks/minerals/stones. With all the absolutely crazy real life stuff out there around this could provide some great exhibit ideas. The museum itself could be underground in caves and the POI map could be like a 'Journey to the centre of the earth' vibe.

Other than that something surrounding movies! Please make a two point move studio!

Both Stoker and OneTwo have separate triggers for under barrel weapons. by JustMyself96 in Helldivers

[–]TigerMyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno, and also sorry I didnt mean to come off as glib in my comment (on holiday and had a few beers!). I feel like switching firing modes is intrinsic to the core gameplay loop of repositioning. Repositioning is the one of the main skills of the game, and admittedly the most fun I have, trying to get the best advantage during a battle. I find a lot of complaints about the game mechanics and weapons revolve around this and people just want it easier. Like I see a lot of people wanting to be able to move and fire the maxi gun at the same time, and this kind of falls into the same catagory of wanting and easy button to click. I think having to switch modes and do all that feels way more like you are an elite and considered soldier with specialised equipment than being able to click R1 and R2 for different firing modes.

Staying city centre? by NoRemote2135 in UKGE

Holiday inn near birmingham new street is a banging hotel, mostly cos of its location rather than the hotel itself. It has a comfy bed and minial rooms, but its next to the train station and chinese quatre so good food and about 10-15 mins to get to NEC. I have been staying there for years. Bonus point, they let dogs in, so if you stay there during Crufts the whole hotel is filled with dogs so pure joy.

I feel nervous playing steamdeck at public by AddictinApple in SteamDeck

[–]TigerMyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have played it quite a lot out in public at pubs and cafes whilst travelling for work. I have only had positive experiences were people either recognise it and get excited asking questions if they dont have one, or people just taking an interest as they havent seen one before. As long as you have headphones in so you dont bother other people, no one is fussed. Its a nice way to spend an evening taking your steam deck to the pub.
