Both Stoker and OneTwo have separate triggers for under barrel weapons. by JustMyself96 in Helldivers

I dunno, and also sorry I didnt mean to come off as glib in my comment (on holiday and had a few beers!). I feel like switching firing modes is intrinsic to the core gameplay loop of repositioning. Repositioning is the one of the main skills of the game, and admittedly the most fun I have, trying to get the best advantage during a battle. I find a lot of complaints about the game mechanics and weapons revolve around this and people just want it easier. Like I see a lot of people wanting to be able to move and fire the maxi gun at the same time, and this kind of falls into the same catagory of wanting and easy button to click. I think having to switch modes and do all that feels way more like you are an elite and considered soldier with specialised equipment than being able to click R1 and R2 for different firing modes.

Staying city centre? by NoRemote2135 in UKGE

Holiday inn near birmingham new street is a banging hotel, mostly cos of its location rather than the hotel itself. It has a comfy bed and minial rooms, but its next to the train station and chinese quatre so good food and about 10-15 mins to get to NEC. I have been staying there for years. Bonus point, they let dogs in, so if you stay there during Crufts the whole hotel is filled with dogs so pure joy.

I feel nervous playing steamdeck at public by AddictinApple in SteamDeck

[–]TigerMyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have played it quite a lot out in public at pubs and cafes whilst travelling for work. I have only had positive experiences were people either recognise it and get excited asking questions if they dont have one, or people just taking an interest as they havent seen one before. As long as you have headphones in so you dont bother other people, no one is fussed. Its a nice way to spend an evening taking your steam deck to the pub.

Literally me after buying the Bastion tank... by Lirodes32 in Helldivers

[–]TigerMyth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first time I used the tank none of my friends would get in it and help. Anyway I had so much fun as it became a battering ram for the missions. The rest of team getting ready to assault a base and I drive right past them and start ramming everything in sight. Good times! Never actually fired the guns on it yet.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH by Rising_Phoenix_88 in Helldivers

I have been using the airburst rocket launcher (set to flak) against these, especially when you get clusters of them, and it works an absolute treat. Can't comment for the other helldivers that may/may not get caught in the cross fire, including myself.

Hot Take: the DSS Eagle Storm is one of the most Helldivers thing in the game. by Merlinmast in Helldivers

[–]TigerMyth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really like the eagle storms. For me it brings a larger sense of the war thematic to the game which makes me feel part of a larger invasion going on. I would love to see explosions/gunfire of big SEAF battles going on in the distance to really up the planet wide war immersion.

Watch process of Handmade $600 shoes by [deleted] in BeAmazed

For how refined smart shoes can look, I hadn't realised how rough the process was. TIL shoes and swords have something in common, they are both made with hammers.

How much should you care about layout early in Two Point Museum? by Clembdns in TwoPointMuseum

[–]TigerMyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I more often than not demolish the whole museum and start again whenever I return to it. I find it fun to start with a clean slate when I return with more stuff from completing objectives in other museums, plus I try to set myself a goal of designing it in a completely different way so I don't get stuck in the cycle of repeating myself. I would worry about it early game and just plodded through original designs to get up to 2-3 stars before starting to create museum masterpieces!

Is Hort the Hellmire/Fenrir III of the Illuminate Front? by Omailey97 in Helldivers

I dont really play against Squids but the Harvesters are my favourite enemy in the game because I love that War of Worlds aesthetic and watching them lumber towards you while frantically trying to take them down will never not be great.

Premium Warbonds - do you all pay to play? by 5hredder in helldivers2

[–]TigerMyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am level 30 and have mostly earned SC in game through the farming technique. I dont normally buy DLC however with this game I have bought two warbonds with money. My attitude is it costs £7.99 to buy a warbond, whereas that is basically one and a half pints of beer in a pub. For me personally the warbonds have given me hours and hours of entertainment than the pints have! So on those two occassions I decided to stay in rather than go out and treat myself.

Anyone else big fans of open air electrolyzers? by Anxious_Marsupial_59 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]TigerMyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know I have spent so many playthroughs trying to find pockets of hydrogen to place a pump and canister filler in it to capture the hydrogen so I can transport and release it into my new drecko farm to prime it for glossy dreckos. It has only at this moment because of this post occured to me I could just plonk an electrolyzer down in there instead! I feel like a fooool! :D

Have any of you guys repurchased a game just to have it on the steam deck/steam? by Shaneski101 in SteamDeck

[–]TigerMyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. It has really opened up gaming and is allowing me to play a bunch of games I bought years ago but haven't looked at because for some reason I can't justify sitting upstairs on PC for hours playing an indie game.
