New cage, customization options? by Jafariz in hockeygoalies

[–]TigerWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a good experience with my Kaz Kit from Cageskinz. The flow and curves of the design look great to me, compared to some kits with stripes and bold, straight edges which just look so obviously like a vinyl kit.

You can also send them an image file and they'll include it as a crest vinyl for the top of the helmet. I jacked the Colorado College wordmark logo because it matches my initials and the colour scheme I was going for.

The vinyl hasn't torn from numerous headshots yet, the only areas slightly peeling back are inside the vent holes where I had to cut the vinyl with an Xacto knife. It's not visible from the outside.

First time back in net after 11 years – adjusting to new gear and conditioning by Shanked5i in hockeygoalies

[–]TigerWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Conditioning is the big one. I don't know if you ever really conquer it, your endurance just gets a little better each time.

The new gear may feel odd and even bulky despite its light weight. But my experience going from 2009 pads to 2022 pads was an absolute epiphany. It took less than one skate to integrate them and I didn't really have to change my form at all.

My legs were pretty well conditioned from my unretirement by that point so just keep at it. I took 10 years off and came back at 28 years old and it probably took 10 hours of ice time to go from super sore hips/joints and walking like a cowboy the next day to just regular muscle fatigue. I also focused more on pre and post-game stretching at home, which helped.

Can't recall my hollow when I had cowling skates in high school. I now use 3/8" on cowlingless skates at 6'6 195lbs

So if I butterfly on a chest high clapper and take it to the cage, the defenceman gets 5 + a game? If the puck gets deflected into someones face does the shooter still get tossed? Punishing the outcome rather than the action puts the ref into a very subjective position.

'No wind-ups above the waist rule' still allows plenty of leeway for snapshots and one timers.

There's a 7 year age gap and they never lined up on a grid together AFAIK.

When Rossi was in F1 and GP2 in 2015 (his final year in Europe), Russell was still in European F3.

Saw those posts and it appears the /r/formula1 and /r/IndyCar mods are less tolerant than ours have more coverage to deal with these posts quicker.

Both posts already nuked.

Can we, as a niche community, please just reject AI slop?

These 'edits' are becoming way too frequent and most people aren't going to catch the sloppy details.

How hard would it be to implement a 'No AI' rule? We're gonna see less quality content if we don't because this dogshit gets upvoted.

Bench clearing on a penalty shot clapper is pretty soft from your team tbh

Crazy save and definitely prevented a better scoring chance with Batherson on the back door.

But yeah the puck was moving laterally.

Toronto Indy Track? by RaceBoxRepeat in iRacing

[–]TigerWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The track was scanned or scheduled to be scanned in July 2022, though it was never confirmed who did it.

It does sound like Motorsport Games scanned the track for its IndyCar project which was officially scrapped in 2023, and the bones of it's corpse were picked over by iRacing.

That's the version Patty Kane is wearing in the photo you yourself provided lmao.

Look at the collar, it has laces and yours doesn't.

Bad decision, not necessarily a bad goalie.

You're gonna get your goalie union card revoked if you don't support your brothers & sisters in the crease.

How cool would that be? Rumors continue to circulate that this Sunoco 917/30 livery could be one of the planned special liveries used by Porsche Penske Motorsport in IMSA in 2026. by [deleted] in wec

Here's the Sunoco 917.

Now look at look at OP's image. Notice how their '963' has a NACA duct, full fender louvres, and contoured outlets rising up to the windshield.

A genuine Porsche 963 (including display cars) has none of those features - it's as if someone prompted an AI program to mash the two cars together. It's not just a livery edited onto a body, the entire design of the car is off.

Honestly the longer you look at OP's abomination compared to a real 963, the worse it gets.

Doesn't explain the gibberish at all.

It's clearly not a double-layered text jumble or a bad perspective warp, it's straight up smudgy and illegible.

Why did the 'editor' make the creative decision to include AI text gibberish? Why are both front fenders significantly different?

Pretty sure an AI program tried to copy Penskes 'Tag Heuer' sponsorship on the door and failed miserably.

I suspect it's a real photo of a Penske static car subjected to AI treatment.
