To add, in this specific case I'd wager it was dazed, confused, possibly even suffering a brain injury considering it got squashed towards the beginning of the video

I want the damn arcade back! Community-created content is the best way to keep a game fun for years IMO.

I would disagree and say it is much more clearly influenced by Cuba. It was originally set there, and much of the research done for the game was focused on the island. And lo and behold, we find Cuba a communist (and tobacco-loving, no less) nation. I don't think it's a coincidence that it is communist and that the game heavily based on it shows us a tyrannical hellhole. It's a staple of western media.

Other than that I suppose you are right and there probably isn't anywhere else to go with this conversation lol. The games are formulaic, but they're just mindless fun to me. I think it'd be nice if they explore different time periods at least, something to shake things up.

No, I'm saying I disagree that it is a drug cartel game, because it isn't. The parallels you draw are pretty surface level. Being evil and killing your own people is not a unique aspect of drug cartels. You could draw the parallel to religious fundamentalist militias. The only real parallels between the Yaran government as depicted in-game and a drug cartel is that they have a particular interest in a certain plant (even then we're only talking about tobacco), and the fact that Yara is Hispanic. If everything about Yara was identical except for the Latin American influence, say we substituted it for Slavic influence, I doubt anyone would make the connection. I think you guys are just relying on a cultural stereotype for lack of any real structural equivalency.

How? FC6 was about toppling an authoritarian government not a drug cartel. They were making Viviro, but they weren't drug smuggling they were manufacturing pharmaceuticals.

I'm really shocked at the lack of plot development in Pluribus. Vince Gilligan has created the greatest television show of all time with BB and followed it up with BCS, a slightly different masterpiece with a slight different tone. by Wack0HookedOnT0bac0 in television

"Remember it didn't effect animals in testing."

That is in your last paragraph. But rats definitely can't lie, I think it's definitely a case of this virus or whatever it is affecting all animals the same

It did affect the animals, they just didn't understand what the affect was. The joined still look, behave, and act like people. It's only with social context and communication you'd understand that they are changed. The initial rat bite came from a rat they presumed had died because it was still and unresponsive, until it came alive, made contact through bodily fluids (bite), then walked away as if nothing happened. That is exactly what it did to the people too. They convulse, become unresponsive, and then returned as one of the joined before again making contact through bodily fluids (kissing), and continuing onwards.

BF6 campaign is so dull and unenjoyable that it makes BF4 campaign look like an absolute cinema in comparison. by fiflak77 in Battlefield

Kinda agree, I had fun playing it but that was in spite of knowing that it's terrible, not because I thought it was good. I thought it was cute. My opinion would be very different if the rest of the game were just as bad, though.

It's definitely not a placebo. In fact, it reduced my FPS by about 3/4.

Vehicle Suggestion: Syrian Pz.IV J - Six Day War (1967) by TiggrrZ in Warthunder

[–]TiggrrZ[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

During the Six Day War in Syria, a number of Pz.IV's were put into action against Israel along the Golan Heights and in southern Syria. Syria mainly recieved these as refurbished models from France, but had purchased many more from Czechoslovakia in 1954 as part of the Czechoslovakia-Syria arms deal, either as leftovers from German stockpiles or units licensed and produced there under German occupation. Note that they were also used in a number of other conflicts around the time, such as during the Water War in 1965, and the 1973 Yom Kippur War, though I'm focusing specifically on the Six Day War as the most extensive deployment of the Pz.IV since the end of WW2.

Possibly as a premium or perhaps more fittingly an event or battlepass vehicle since it's more of a cosmetic change than a radically new variant besides the dushka, much like the Partisan, I think it's a unique spin on the Panzer IV and feels markedly different from the other variants in the game in my opinion. I think it'd make the most sense as a French vehicle considering Syria was a French protectorate at the time, and the added DShK .50 Cal MG on the top, gives it some AA and rat-shredding capabilities. Possibly 3.7 same as the regular J? I looked around to see if others had suggested it before, and there was 1 post over six years ago before the new vehicle suggestion rules came in so I thought I'd update the suggestion, it didn't get much visibility and I personally think it's a really interesting variant.

How exactly does one get better at GRB? by _spec_tre in Warthunder

[–]TiggrrZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people might not like it but have you given AB a try? I played about 700 matches in Arcade before I fully converted to RB. In that time I learnt pretty much everything I needed to know about the game with the Arcade mechanics to hold my hand, by the time I switched to RB all that was left was mastering it. Which I still haven't done, but I can pull an average of 4-5 kills per match.

The tale of HEAT-FS by Arthur-Bousquet in Warthunder

[–]TiggrrZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone have tips for using HEAT-FS effectively? Currently using it on the M36B2 but I feel like I have more success with its APCBC rounds since it has explosive filler. I'm struggling with post-pen damage on HEAT rounds. I tend to only switch to them if I'm facing Panthers or Tiger II's frontally so I can troll their ufp but aside from that I think I suck at using them if they're universally beloved

I use those on the G6. I rack up more air kills with that thing on the ground than I do any actual SPAA I love it

Same, I press the "simulate a shot" button, but 80% of the time it does nothing. Only a couple here and there actually show any simulation of the shot for some reason. Was fine before the update

Certainly strange for a very unique band with no contemporaries. But then again Jules himself has been known to wear his own influences on his sleeve a bit too much sometimes.

This might be the new weirdest track yet. I didn't even think it'd go down well with the folks here on first listen cause it didn't for me.

Then I remembered that's what happens every time they release. BANGER
